places that match sneakers to your stride, your foot shape, etc. I assume the sneakers are really expensive. I'm curious if they are worth it

I guess that depends if you have a need for high performance athletic shoes. Most of their shoes are just higher performance models of regular brands, like Saucony, Nike, Asics, Brooks, etc. The shoes I have seen range from about $90-120.

If you are a runner, I would say yes, its probably worth it to go there.

I am not a runner, but I have arthritis in both knees and feet, so my podiatrist sent me there to get "neutral, non-stability" athletic shoes. A regular shoe store would not know what that it. I ended up getting the Brooks Dyad, and have continued to buy that style since then.

I don't find them to be that much more expensive than anywhere else, but they can really find a good sneaker for you. I take ds16 there every year, and I'm always wrong about what size he is!

Yes if you need them.

What are you planning on using the shoes for?

I didn't find them too expensive either. The store I went to took a lot of time to fit me properly and watch me run. The shoe I wanted was actually a previous year model and it ended up being cheaper because of that so you could also ask if the store had older models available.

I would be using them for walking, at home and at Disney of course. I have one foot that had torn ligaments and had to have a piece of my hip bone put inside it so there's a weird bump. makes it hard to find the right sneakers sometimes

It sounds like it might be helpful for you.

You could always go in and see what they recommend. If you don't like what they suggest you don't have to buy anything.

Worth every penny. The sneakers run in the $100-$120 range, and I hand over the money with a smile.

I go to a couple of running stores that are similar. I just started running, and after a little while started to get some hip pain. I went and sprung for custom insoles made at the store to use in my running shoes (about $80 or so). No more pain!

If you've had surgery or have foot abnormalities (I have pretty bad hammer toes), it may be well worth it to get some custom insoles too! I may get another pair for everyday shoes next winter (I live in sandals in the summer but wear ones with good support).

I would recommend going to a speciality running store, especially if it's your first time buying running shoes. Feet Fleet has very knowledgable employees who can help you buy the right running shoe. What you can do is buy a pair of running shoes from them and the next time you are ready to buy another pair (assuming you want the same type of shoe) you can just compairson shop. I find Feet Fleet to be a tad bit higher in prices, but well worth there wealth of knowledge.

It is absolutely worth it, whether you are a runner or not. I haven't found them to be any more expensive than anywhere else for the same shoes. Good shoes are very important.

I tried the Skechers Go Walks recommended on here all over Philly this weekend. They are good for short distances but for long ones I need arch support. I think I'm going to go to Fleet Feet. thanks all!
