any experience with at-home dialysis on board?

Thanks for all of the replies so far. I am actually thinking of keeping the trip but changing it to a WDW trip and shortening it by a couple of days. I would use the money I had already put toward the cruise toward the resort reservation--and hopefully cruise again in the future. DH has had two days of dialysis now, and says he doesn't feel any differently, but again, he didn't feel sick anyhow. At least on land if something went wrong, we could go to a davita center nearby (the center we are using now is a davita as well).
This is a solid positive plan and I wish you guys well!

I may even use our OBB to book a quick 3 nighter, maybe in November so I can see the Christmas decorations. That way we will be much more comfortable with whatever option we choose. One step at a time!

Update...DH is doing great with dialysis! He drives himself, no dizziness, no water retention. He is on the least amount of time they do. He is scheduled to get a consult to put the port in his stomach to start the dialysis you do overnight. We are hoping he will only need to do it every other day!
That said, we are officially canceling our cruise today. :( I am going to book a WDW trip to replace it, but with everything going on he said it would best to do it later, hopefully after he gets a kidney down the road. Maybe my first gold trip will be on the Wish? Who knows! But the future is a lot brighter than when he had to start dialysis in such a hurry.
Plus, the dialysis tech told him when he gets this new port he can swim in pools, but not lakes or oceans. I think that helped him accept it.
Thanks for the help, and good luck to anyone else on the dialysis journey!
