Any Expedition Everest rumors???

My DS16 and I did the EEC in May and had a BLAST! We're seriously thinking about doing it again. I had read some speculations about whether Disney would even do it next year since many of the races that don't have 1/2 or full marathons associated with them have been discontinued.

I was just on the runDisney page for EEC and saw this note:

More information on the 2012 Expedition Everest™ Challenge will be coming soon.

So .... I am assuming that means they will be having it?!?!?! I wonder when? It seems that it has been a different weekend each year they have held it, right?

Anyone heard any rumors or have any insider info????

I want to run it again but DS15 and DH want to do the Zombie 5k in Boston the same day.
I might need to find a partner. To bad DD5 isn't old enough, she would love it.

The consensus is that registration will begin in November now. It was originally October but things were moved.

DD13 and I are looking forward to doing this as our first race I've started couch to 5k a few times and this is just what I need to keep me motivated to see me all the way through to the end this time.

I am hoping regristration opens soon. My husband and I participated in it for the first time last year, and we loved it! Not only do we want to do it again, we also convinced my mother and sister in-law to participate. We're just waiting for official regristration to begin so we can book a resort and get exact dates.

Did EEC with my then DD18 for a grad present 2 years ago when it was in June-want to do it again but now it is right in the middle of finals.Maybe time to get another partner-haha!

It was a blast and we did great.The memories are just like any other WDW memory-you can't beat it.
