Used their Citibank American Airlines Creidt Card (or any milage earning credit card) to buy Disney Dollars. Which can be exchanged dollar for dollar at any Disney Store. I wonder if its labeled a merchandise purchase or cash advance. It seems like an evil way to earn miles. Just wondering if anyone had tried that. And earned miles on the purchase?

Disney stores are starting to require receipts if you want to exchange your DD back to cash which means the refund will be credited back to your cc which will reverse you FF credits. Now if the amount of dd is nominal you might talk your way into a return without a receipt but that'll only get you a few miles.

You can work that around. Want your cash back? Break the bills instead of returning them to the store! Keep your bonus miles.

I do the same thing with my left over traveler cheques. Use the bills to buy knick knacks here and there: soda, ice cream, and every time, break a new bill. You should be all set.
