Any down side of not buying tickets through Universal?

7 day trip, 3 nights at an I drive hotel and 3 night at the hard rock.

We like the Flex ticket, it covers all our plans exsept the titanic exhibit.

Undercover tourist has it for a price I like, is there any down side of buying through them? The upside is its cheaper and they ship, universal charges extra to ship and picking it up will be a pain as thesis a carless trip.

I won't lose any bennies going this route, will I?

Can't think of any, except maybe being able to reserve a breakfast at Three Broomsticks. Not a big deal, and I've been able to book there for breakfast without getting the "package". I say go for it.

UT is a trustworthy and respectable source for tickets. You just need to buy far enough in advance so you have them in hand before leaving.

Thanks for the info, do you know if the cost of the breakfast is included in the ticket price from universal? Or is it a reservation they secure for you?

We're repeat customers with UT, we trust them. And I'm trying to nail down the details on this so we can order stuff now so there are no last minute surprises, your advice is right inline with the way we think :).

We buy from Undercover Tourist .Nothing special about the tickets for universal other than they guarantee you a dining spot at 3 broomsticks.

I don't know for sure, but I'd be really, really surprised if the breakfast was covered in the Universal price--only a reservation.

The breakfast is a separate charge. The only downside I see for not purchasing with Universal is that Universal does not have a record of your tickets if you lose them or damage them. So make a copy of the tickets just in case something happens to them. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the info everyone:goodvibes.

Based on this, I should order early (probably this week) make copies and save on phone or through web based email.

We will have Wed - Sat to have breakfast at 3 broomsticks, so it looks like no resi is no biggie :).

What I did to get a reservation was to go to the hotel's attraction tickets desk (it may have been called something a little different, can't recall) and get it there. They gave me a slip with the time on it that also served as payment at the 3B, as I paid the full amount then and there at that desk.

You can also possibly get in just by walking up to 3B. This used to be harder, but I think it's pretty easy to get in anymore this way, I just can't guarantee it.

And after all that buildup, remember it's just a breakfast--by no means the best meal I've had. ;)

Are you sure that plain old tickets give you access to the breakfast reservation? The only thing Ive heard of that gives you that is booking a *package* through them. Which is different than just buying tickets. And the package does *include* the breakfast (though when I've priced it, you're paying almost exactly for that breakfast with the higher price of the 3Broomsticks-including package vs other packages or buying hotel and tickets a la carte).

Even though Universal won't have record of tickets from UCT, Undercover Tourist will, and they have spectacular customer service.

I am sure I did it merely as a guest of the resort. All I did was book a room there. I did not need anything else, other than a ticket to get inside the park, which I already had.
