Any done the Magical Gatherings?

My Mother in Law is putting together a Magical Gathering for the fam. Has anyone done this? Does anyone have any helpful advise? Thanks!

We just did ours 1 week ago and it was great. I responded to another thread on this forum under the heading "Group Gatherings". Good Luck.

I, too, have responded to Group Gatherings, however, it seems that you just plan to be in the same place at the same time and you can stay at different resorts if you want but by registering as a group we get to do things that is only available to groups.

I did it with my Girl Scout troop last June and will be doing it with my sisters family next week. You basically can stay where ever you'd like but you are able to participate in special gatherings smaller groups can't. There is a special breakfast at Tony's, Pirate Cruise, etc. We did last year and are doing this year the Pirate Fireworks Cruise that leaves from CR. I HIGHLY recommend it! Have fun! Cindy

I would not go to the Magical Gatherings at Tony's for breakfast. It was not at all worth it, and everyone in my family agrees. You do not get a breakfast buffet - it is a plate served to you, and it was cold. No coffee refills, no server showing any attention to our family of 13, including 2 toddlers. It was way over priced and too crowded. Chef Mickey's is half the price, all you can eat and more character interaction.

One nice thing is that if you are registered as a Magical Gathering, you get a special CM who will help to arrange dining for your entire party.
