Hi. I have a spot on my back that has been going numb a lot (under my shoulder blade area). I have no idea what is causing it. Could it just be a pinched nerve? Should I run down to my doctor for this? Other than the numbness I have no other symptoms.
Any suggestions or ideas? Thanks :sunny:

Yes, it could be a pinched nerve but the next question you have to ask is "what is pinching it".

Only some sort of imaging study can tell.

So you should go to your doctor and see if you can find out why you are experiencing a loss of sensation in a localized area of your back like that.

I have a bone spur in my neck which causes my left pinky finger to go completely numb at times. At other times it stops pressing on it and my finger feels normal. This has been going on for 10 years.

I had an MRI. Nothing can be done about it (that I would want to have done) but as the years go by it's comforting to know what the matter is.
