Any Disney Store shoppers online?

I've just looked at my c/card to do our online banking. On the same day as I used the Disney Store, some little toad has used my c/card details to do two purchases in the US. I've contacted our bank and the bank want to know how robust the Disney Store online's payments methods are so my DH is contacting them directly. I used to work for an online payment provider, so I'm really careful with my card online but my DH has asked if any of the 'nice ladies' (yes Karen, he calls you a nice lady) on the Aussie DisBoards have had any odd transactions post Disney Store shopping this past month. There is only one other international payment made on my card in the proceeding period and I think that may be more likely than the Disney Store but it's worth asking the question.

I'm a week out from my brothers wedding in Aussie and I've now got no c/card.

I use a 28 degrees mastercard with low available balance when doing online stuff. I've just had a look at the latest statement and nothing bad...will keep an eye out for the next one.

We've been caught with someone using our combank visa. Its a pain when they cancel it, cause then you have to go and set up new direct payments when you get the new card #.
also, if you have prebooked anything with the old card in the usa, you'll have to take the old card as proof..so dont destroy it. Painful yes.

normally disney is quite secure, i'd let them know as well as the bank. they need to be aware of this.

just goes to show, always check your credit card statement!

hope it all turns out well, and you get your new card in 3 business days like they promise

Thanks for the heads up, I've checked my statement nothing out of the ordinary.

I'm really sorry to hear this has happened to you though. The timing couldn't be worse and it such a stress and completely inconvenient. I'm sure the new card will arrive in time, no problems.

Thanks ladies. I'd thought the same as what Karen said, keep the card to show the US attraction people but DH said 'nah' - score one for the ladies on that one aye, we'd have been up the creek if I listened to my husband.

I'm now without plastic for Sydney next Wednesday as ANZ say 3 -5 working days and last time we had a similar issue it took over 10 working days. Can you imagine no plastic for food shopping for over two weeks and two anacondas / pre-schoolers eating all the food?

I'm glad that nobody else got pinged, kinda backs my theory of which overseas vendor's system was compromised and I'll have to send them and email and let them know what's happened.

I'm so cross that I'm going to have to account for $400 USD worth of someone else's spending on our c/card while I wait to hear if ANZ are going to accept our repudiation. Grr.

re old card
we booked MNSSHP with my old card, and had an awful time trying to get the tickets from the front gates at MK.....I also had to show photo ID as our credit cards dont have photos......a real nightmare and not a great way to start the night.

so DO NOT THROW OUT YOUR OLD CARD!!!!!!

I had to bring my old card last year every place I had paid for things with it but 2 wanted to see it. I also went and checked my account after reading this nd it was fine
