Any Disney pin colectors out there ???

Hi;

Just thought that I'd check to see if there are any Disney pin collectors on this board. I've been collecting since 2000 and looking for fellow collectors up here in Canada. I live just outside of Toronto. So... if your into pins, let me know.

My 3 kids have got quite the collection going. They don't really care about Limited Editions and such just whatever they think is cute or neat.

i collect the evil queen and maleifcent pins.. mostly i buy them if the price is rite..

DD seems to think that she is quite the collector!

We would have loved to join the Pin Meet but with us just getting back, etc., it just wasn't within our time restraints!

We also collect what we like mostly.

DD is Stitch and lanyard series that she likes.

Me, I pick Tink!

Give us a little more notice next time and you may get a better response.

BTW, did you have anybody show up for that PinMeet?

My boys got hooked on our last trip too..... little ds was collecting sleeping beauty (even managed to find the 3rd fairy on our last day too!!lol) and older ds was collecting Jungle book. Turned into an expensive addiction though!!

I collect Epcot, Walt & Mickey, and Canadian themed Disney pins.

yes I also confess to be being a pin collector
I started out the same way, when we went at Christmas in 2000,
determined not to get started but it was not to be

What started out as one,
became two or three,
then four and five followed,
but they weren't what was to be.

I discovered about trading with,
any Members of the Cast,
I learned the art of Laynard checking
with eyes down...real fast,

Finally the 100 years pin series
came to our little town,
and in the rush to get to them,
I ran a few people down.

And now my pin collection,
has become a real obession,
thanks to more trips and ebay,
I have more pins than I care to say!!

I am heading back to WDW in Dec and hoping to pick up a few more pins at the store and in trades. My oldest daughter is into pin collecting I can't wait to get her some more pins to trade for our next trip.

My DD and I got into collecting the 100 years of Magic pins (casually at first) but it became an obsession that had us stampeding when the mall doors opened at 7:00 am - never mind that the store didn't open until 9:30!!!! Even DH got involved in delivering DD to the mall before store opening. She would be groggily walking into our room saying "Pins - need pins!" (She was only 5 at the time!!!!)

Since then, we've been trading on each visit to the parks. I got her some traders on e-bay, but she's not overly discriminating. If she likes something, she wants it! If you're planning another get-together, please keep us informed!

Hi ! Our DD has over 30 Dis Pins. Does that put her at collector status yet ?

Costly yes ! but what the heck. You can't take it with you when you go so make some memories with each one they get.
