Any Disney Dining Discounts?

Don't think the MYW DP is right for me and the family as we want to make choices and do more char meals than they offer in the package. Any other ways to get discounts on Disney Dining? AAA? AmEx?

I think AAA gives you discounts at some of the Downtown Disney restaurants. But I'm not sure and I think you need to book a AAA package to take advantage. The only other discount is the Disney Dining Experience Card which is only available to Florida Residents and AP holders for a small yearly fee. It gives you 20 percent off.

Just a quick question for you.....what do you mean when you say 'do more character meals than they offer'? With the exception of CRT, all character meals are covered as 1 TS credit. CRT is 2. I guess I am just a bit confused by what you mean. It almost sounds as if you believe that only some character meals are covered under the DDP.

I will be there for 5 nights- and with the DP I would get 5 TS meals.
2 will be the Polynesian Laua and 2 will be the Hoop Dee Do, leaving one for a char meal. Thus after that all my char meals are gone via the dining plan. I hope to do 1-2 more. So Im probably going out of pocket instead
to get flexability.
