Any Diser's at AKL Dec. 19-23?

I will be there at 7:00 a.m. on the 20th. Everyone else will be sleeping in. I will look for the lime green shirt! My daughter came down with strep today. I hate it, but better now than in 2 weeks!

I will be at AKL during that time as well. I am traveling with my DS-7, and my mom who is celebrating her 50th the day of the mini meet! We have PS at Chef Mickey's at 8am, so if we can stop by it will be only for a minute. We have an ultra long day planned with that early PS and then MVMCP. We will certainly need a mid day break, even though my son and I are night-owls!

By the way Nutz4Disney, you mentioned you work in an office that has patients? Is that medical or dental?

minniemmom - I just read the last part of your post and guess what??? I have 2 Siamese and they are named Lilly and Belle! Guess after whose wife???? Walt's of course. My family thinks I need to start a therapy group called Disney Anonymouse! LOLOLOL!

I don't know about you Nuts4Dzny, but I have the worst habit of looking at teeth first, then the rest of the person later! So all of you poster's out there who will be in AKL, make sure you brush and floss, so we can be impressed with your good oral hygiene! Maybe I should be the TEETH POLICE!

You know I've been too shy to do the green ribbon thing on the trips we've taken since I discovered these boards but maybe I better start. It sounds like fun!

BCV23-This will be our first time wearing lime green ribbons! I'm really looking forward to it!

We're surprising DS's by: We're telling them we're going to my brother's house in GA to deliver Christmas presents that are too big to ship (which we are!). We're only going to stay overnight, and then we're telling DS's we're leaving to be home for Christmas. Then we'll just head south and when they start to figure it out (maybe by seeing palm trees! LOL!!) I'm going to give them countdown clock keychains from Nutztogo that say "Magic Happens" (wrapped for Christmas, of course!). I'm not going to explain, just let them think about them. Then when we arrive at the AKL I'll tell them it's just for a couple of days so we can get home for NYE, that this is their Christmas present. Then, after we check-out of the AKL, we'll drive over to the GF to check-in and they will be shocked! They've always wanted to stay here! I have so many surprises in store for them they'll be shocked our entire vacation, I think! So if you see a family w/lime green ribbons w/2 DS's who walk around with a look of amazement, that'll be us!!!!!

I wish I had thought of surprising my son, he's 7. I think I was so excited when I thought about making this trip I just had to tell everyone. We've never stayed deluxe, our first/last trip we stayed at CBR for 5 nights and didn't have much time to spend at the resort really, too busy in the parks. I knew we'd better stay longer this time to get the full effect of this one. Plus, my long-term goal is to take an African safari, and for some reason I think this resort may satisfy that desire until the real thing can happen.

How cool...have fun!!!

I'm hoping to surprise my crew a little bit by having some gifts to go around a little tree at GF on Christmas morning. We're opening most gifts on 12/21. We'll see if I'm able to pull that surprise off?? We're also doing stockings at the GF but they know about that.

This is so exciting!!!!! I am surprising my DS and DD. We leave on Dec. 18 and they have no idea. I am so excited it is hard to keep the trip secret. I am going to tell them we are going on the 16th or the 17th so they will have a little time to let it sink in. They won't find out we are staying at AKL until we get there. I can't wait to see their faces! The night we tell them about the trip I am going to give them each a personal CD player as an early present so they won't fight over music on the way down. I am trying to think of something inexpensive thats Disney to go with the cd players.

We'll be at AKL from 12/22-12/29. If I can find (and remember to bring) lime green ribbon, maybe I can meet a few of you!

We'll be there from Dec. 22 until at least the 30th.

We plan on moving over to the Dolphin on the morning of the 30th because DH likes to bring the new year in at Epcot.

I will be wearing my green ribbon though........

We check-in to ASSp on the 20th and we'll be at MVMCP that night. Then we'll be at AKL on the 22nd. Like BCV23, I was always too shy to wear a ribbon..but I will this time. We can't wait...our boys won't know until we're probably in the airport and I give them a letter from Mickey and Santa...or I might give them this the night before, along with little Buzz and Mike W. luggage w/ matching PJs and slippers inside. Haven't decided on that part yet.
