Any discount codes for January?

I was wondering is there usually any discounts at resorts for January? We wanted to stay at the Contempoary or the Poly (not sure yet). Please help me as I would like to start planning our next trip! Thanks!

If you go over to Mousesavers.com, there is a section where they list "historical patterns for discounts" (or something like that). Click first on "WDW" and you should find this section. They will list what discounts were available in past years so you can have fun speculating about your own travel times.

Typically, the only "code-less" times have been at busy holidays.

Last year they offered a code for approximately 40% off rack rate for deluxes and about the same (if I remember) for moderates. Oddly enough though, the discount didn't start until Jan 2, when "value season" actually started Jan 1! So we did a one night stay on Jan 1 at the Poly and then hopped to the YC for the rest of our stay on the 2nd.

Disney did not release codes for January this past year until mid to late November. I remember because I was waiting for them not-so-patiently. They were good, definitely worth the wait, but it took WDW forever to release them! (We booked rooms at rack rate and them just changed them when the codes came out.)

I got the AP rate for January this year.....but not until December of 2002.....talk about waiting until the last minute!!

That's correct, they came out VERY late. I first booked a room at the YC using the AAA room only rate and then changed and applied the code rate once it was released. So, get your foot in the door and hope for the best.
