I was going to suggest eczema. I have pretty bad eczema that comes and goes, and even appears on my face. I haven't been able to find anything to treat it, either

It's pityriasis rosea!

I had pityriasis two years ago and it was very itchy..lucky me, huh?

I used Caladryl lotion (clear gel) to stop the itching, which was pretty bad, I even kept some in my desk at work. Benadryl also helped and my doctor prescribed Allegra, which I believe I took at night to help me sleep. I was lucky enough to not get in my face, but, I had it in my chest, torso and arms. I'm getting very itchy, just thinking about it My dermatologist reccomended that I stayed away from the sun, until it dissapeared, which, was very difficult since it was during the summer It took exactly 5 weeks for my pityriasis to dissapear, but, once it healed, it left no scars. It is a viral disease, but, it was not infectous.

Wow I have never heard of that. DD is in bed now but I will check the bump patterns more tomorrow to see if it matches up with that.

Just to answer a few questions - the only bumps that crusted over were the ones on her nose at first and that was the main one that the 1st Pediatrician looked at when she diagnosed DD with chicken pox. I wonder now after reading those links if DD did have chicken pox and that triggered this other rash...

Nope I cant get into the Dermatologist earlier. The Dermatologist is actually the husband of one of our Pediatricians! So much for that having any pull... I am going to start calling daily to see if there are any cancellations though.

The bumps first appeared when we were on vacation so she showered and bathed in the same facility as the rest of the family that entire week and once we got home she shared the same bathing tub as her sister (who shows no symptoms).

The bumps first appeared in mid-January so it has been about 7 weeks I guess at this point. If it is the type of rash on those links then they say 8 weeks for the outbreak to go away - just in time for them to disappear before the Dermatologist!

Luckily if it WAS chicken pox at one point I have had them and my OB told me that as long as the baby was in utero then he was protected by my antibodies. Whew.

My older DD had Fifth's as a toddler but this that younger DD has doesn't look anything like that.

I don't think it's ringworm..although you can try a blue light over it, or have the doc do a scrapping (or perhaps your vet hospital . Just doesn't look like it.

DS's eczema looked just like that when he was a toddler. He had it all over, in big and small patches, but it was really bad on his legs. The dr prescribed Elidel, which would clear it up for a few weeks and then it would come back. It didn't itch then, which surprised the dr, but now (DS is 5) it is not red and angry-looking anymore, just dry and rough, but it itches.

Could it be Molluscum Contagiosum? This resembles chicken pox and impetigo and is very itchy and spreads easily.

My DDs are both currently being treated for Molluscum by a dermatologist - I was going to say it could be that as well. It has not been pleasant, and is taking forever to clear up - so I hope for your sake it's something else!!!
