I have been having a very rough time lately with all sorts of bizarre things happening with me.
A few weeks ago I noticed that my middle lower tooth had shifted. Nothing major but enough for me to notice and not be happy about it. I got over it. (this was several weeks ago)
Last week I burned my tongue very badly. It took a very long time for it to feel better. A couple days after that I woke up like any other morning, started waking my kids up and stuff and while talking to them realized my speech didn't sound quite right.
I didn't know what the heck to think. Throughout the day I noticed it, my 'st' sound would sound like 'th' instead. It was as if I had suddenly developed a lisp. At first I thought it was because my tongue was slightly swollen or the feeling was off, due to the burn. It doesn't happen all the time and if I really take time to enunciate properly I don't have a problem. But if I'm talking normally like I would any other day without thinking about it, it happens!!
But here I am a week later and I'm still noticing it. I'm very upset about it. It does seem to have gotten better but it's not back to normal. Could this one shifted tooth be effecting my speech in such a way? The thought of me just talking like this forever is upsetting to me.
Anyone have any advice or ideas? I feel like an idiot. This is really starting to effect my mood, I just don't know what else it could be that's causing it!! I feel stupid for even posting this but it's really bothering me. I'm driving myself crazy trying to figure it out all the time!
Thanks for listening.
