Any deals in the past for Dec??

DH is taking a group of HS students to WDW as part of their Service Club. I would love to take DD. I am not able to get the same price the kids are getting so I am hoping that perhaps there will be a room discount or Free dining offered. We will be going the first week of Dec. I was hoping someone would be able to tell me if there were any delas offered in the past during this time frame? I know that its not certain even though it was done in the past etc....I was just wondering so I dont get my hopes up. I figured there would not be many deals since people probably go to see the decorations etc before Christmas. Thank you in advance for any information!

Wasn't a dining offer extended last year? also the Hero Salute went through part of December last year as well. People on the codes board would prbobly know the answer.

Free dinning went beginning of Dec last year, then it went to the buy 4 nights get 3 free (or whatever that deal was), not sure the exact dates though.

We were there last year from Dec5-12 and we had the free dining offer.

We went in Dec 2009 from the 18-24th and we had the buy 4 get 3 deal.

Discounts do vary from year to year. We always go for Dec 4 and in 2008 there were no discounts but in 2009 the room only discount was so amazing we got to stay at AKL twice last year. Not sure what's going to happen this year though.
