I've searched several times and can't find anything. Maybe it's me.. Anyway I would like to know what people thought who had dinner recently.

I have not experienced myself but like to read the dining review section. I have read two reviews where they were very surprised and enjoyed the meal. One person even said it was their best meal of the trip. Sorry I can't remember which reviews or I would post links.

MIL/FIL went in January 2009, and both said it was horrible. They are very picky eaters, and felt this was the worst dining experience of their trip.

I've heard some better reviews lately, but nothing to make me ever want to go back. We did ND back in 2006, and it was less than stellar to say the least!

I ate there last November after the renovation, and thought that the food was actually pretty good, and the atmosphere was nice. The price was really quite high for what you get though. If you compare it to good Chinese food at home, the price will come as a shock. If you compare it to other places at Epcot, it will seem about average. Sometimes it is hard to justify that much money for that kind of food, but if you are in the mood and on the dining plan, it might be alright.

If you click on my June link I have a menu and meal pics and a full review...it was the worst meal we have ever had at WDW and no way will we ever go back....

Wow, this is almost word for word how we felt back in 2006. I would have hoped for an improvement 3 years later. Guess not... and this makes me feel good in knowing we're not the only ones who will NEVER go back.

My MIL/FIL had the same sort of comments in January. Something rancid smelling, and it turned my MIL off big time. Much like your experience, ND comped the apps and my inlaws left right after. I almost wonder how ND stays in business with reviews like this... :scared1:

What's sad - my inlaws gave up a meal at Boma since they wanted to see Illuminations one last time. In hindsight, they regretted the decision...

I ate here for the first time a few weeks ago. My intentions were to just eat CS somewhere at WS but my bf was over CS meals and just wanted someone to serve him food :). I told him I didn't know what we'd be able to get as we didn't have ADR's and it was 6:30. We both love Asian food so we stopped in at Nine Dragons and they seated us right away. We split the pork dumplings as an appetizer, he got the Honey Chicken and I got the Kung Pao chicken. Everything was good. It wasn't the best meal I've had at Epcot (and I've eaten at every TS place except Bistro) but it was good. I felt like I was eating at a typical Chinese place at home with Disney prices ;).

We seem to eat here everycouple of years - food has always been good but not spectacular. Last time we ate here was last November after the rennovations and the worst part of the experience was that we were seated next to a single diner from Europe and he wouldn't shut up. The food was good. I didn't think the prices were excessive - par for the course at Disney. That trip we weren't on DDP.

I think one's experience is tied to one's expectations at Nine Dragons. I expected greasy, sugary Americanized Chinese food like you get at those $4.95 buffet places. So when we got food that was a fresh, interesting and inventive take on Americanized Chinese food, I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed the experience.

It was definitely better than the Americanized Chinese restaurants in our neighborhood but not comparable to the authentic Chinese restaurants in, say, Southern California's San Gabriel Valley.

Oh, and we ate there in February.

Well, we ate there a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed it so much, we went back a second time!

We've not gone to 9 Dragons in 20 years of visits on the theory that we have plenty of Chinese food when we're at home.

But, we decided to give it a try for lunch. We've been so disappointed these days with places like Coral Reef we were reaching for something different from our usual spots.

We had an appetizer that was only so so. But, then we had the peppery shrimp with spinach noodles. Quite delicious. Our boys had dumplings that they enjoyed and also the Honey Sesame Chicken (which was quite sweet so you have to like sweet to like it). Our boys also devoured the eggroll cheesecake dessert thingy. They have a delicious (and thankfully very unsweetened) blackberry jasmine iced tea that we loved. And, we had a wonderful waitress -- Chi Hua.

We liked it so much, we returned a few days later for another lunch.

Yes -- it's pricey in comparison to Chinese at home, but it was different, interesting and good quality.

We were pleasantly surprised.

We ate here in May and really enjoyed it, the ginger ice cream is awesome! This was a 3rd time eating here for me and I think it is very good, we will be booking again on future trips!:thumbsup2

We loved it years ago... hoping to try it again on one of our next trips.

We just haven't done it with kids... our one son does like some Chinese, so I don't think he'll have a problem, but our other son is more picky. He doesn't typically eat any Chinese except for a fortune cookie. :sad2:

Does anyone know if they happen to offer "regular" food like chicken nuggets or something for picky children?

We've been going here once a year for the last 15 years or so, and have never had a bad experience. The worst thing that has ever happened to us is when we had an appetizer of pot sticker which weren't hot enough when they brought them.. that's it!

The food has always been delicious, desserts are horrible but I can live with that if the apps and entrees are good. The soups are also really good.
