any cruise pins for DVCers?

Not sure what your question is. What kind of pin are you looking for?

The only pins that are given regularlly are the Castaway Club ones for returning cruisers. Other pins are given for special cruises like the ones we got on the DVC Member Cruise or the ones they gave out on the maiden voyage of the Western route.

There are also cruise exclusive pins that can only be bought on board ship - either in the gift shop or from the pin cart that comes out at night.

I'm not sure what pins to bring to trade. I have been to WDW only once and never to Disneyland so the only pins I have are the ones I have bought at the Disney Store and Everyone has those. Is the pin trading really rushed and frantic? Are there plenty pins for everyone on the ship? I really don't know what to even trade for? Any suggestions from the experienced pin traders.

Well I think it would be a nice idea to give pins to the DVCers at the DVC reception onboard ship. Oh well, guess I'll be buying a cruise pin.

I never got a Castaway Club pin, just a beach towel. I love the towel, but miss the pin. Was it in your stateroom?

If you go to the DVC reception you (and everyone with you) will get a DVC member baseball hat. They are pretty nice with embroidery instead of silkscreen. You can also win prizes. DS got a butt pack with waterbottle and DH got a DVC tshirt. Plus free drinks, ours was in the morning so it was mamosas and bloody marys-as many as you want.

When we went on the Wonder last May the gift (it was the gym bag at the time) was waiting when we arrived. The pins came with the invitation to the returning cruisers party a day later.

When we went on the DVC Member Cruise Feb 2nd the towel and pins were waiting in our room when we got there

The pin cart can get crazy, especially if they have limited edition pins (on our last cruise it was the Valentine's day pin and the annual passholders pin left over from the week before). For trading there are many castmembers who wear their lanyards every day (guest services etc.). One night a lot of the officers and staff will be in the atrium wearing lanyards and that is prime trading time.

On our last several cruises on both the Wonder and the Magic, the towel and pins have been waiting for us in our stateroom when we arrived.
