Any cool lunchboxes out there?

This year I did not do any back to school shopping for DD6 because we were given lots of hand me downs and she really just didn't need anything. So I was thinking that I wanted to buy her a special new lunch box for school. Someone was telling me they have ones that come with small "fitted" containers in them but I only find the basic ones in the stores. Any suggestions for a neat lunchbox that a 6yo will love and will make packing lunch easy?

This is the really cute one DD6 has this year. It doesn't make it easier, she just really liked it and it is not the average character lunch box.

Plus you can have her first name or initials embroidered on it.

Both my younger kids have the one that's $12.95.
I like them because they are extra deep and hold more stuff than a lot of lunch boxes. Youngest DS has OT issues and needed a thermos which has a handle so he can remove the cover easily. He takes the thermos every day with his lunch and this is the only lunchbox I've found that will hold his thermos, plus a container for ketchup, chips, jello, a fork, spoon, juice box and napkins, etc. without bulging or straining. This lunch box will also hold the Keen Kanteen Waterbottle that LL Bean sells. You can buy the Keen in coordinating colors and have it engraved with her initials.

I found a nice one for my DD at Homegoods. It came with 2 plastic containers that have "blue ice" that snaps into the lid. It's also tall enough to put a full size bottle of water in. She's older so it doesn't look like a little kids lunch box, but you might be able to find one your dd would like.

It fits DD's large thermos and water bottle and has a waterproof liner that I can wipe clean. I just don't like the bento type ones...I like to wrap their sandwich with two ice packs right on top of it, I worry about keeping the food cold.

I really like the laptop lunch box system. But then I saw the blog on insulated lunchboxes which talked aobut laying down the bento box. Does anyone know if the insulated boxes they sell with the laptop lunchbox system works or does it make your food a mess because it is not laying down (at least it doesn't look like it will lay it down)

Target has some really cute lunch totes on clearance now for $9..they are made by Arctic Zone and come in either ladybug, frog, elephant or dog style. The liner can be removed to clean and the actual tote is machine washable. My daughter loves her ladybug!

I would stick with an insulated one over the Goodbyn, etc. only becauase there is no way to put an ice pack in there to keep stuff cold since an ice pack doesn't fit.

DD got sick last year from a school lunch and decided then that she would never again eat at school. Knowing I didn't want to always send chips and a sandwich, I wanted something that had the containers. We got the laptop lunchbox and have absolutely loved it. DS decided he wanted to take his lunch too if he could do it with the laptop lunch so we now have two.

We are on school year two and it is still going strong.

My kids have California Innovations lunchboxes. The nice thing about them is that they are insulated, but they have a hard plastic insert. It has a divider which kind of gives it a bento type look depending on what you pack.
