We're going to be down there May 17-21 and my sister (18) is really looking into doing a culinary internship for Disney. She's in a baking program right now and her school doesn't know too much about how the program works. Any suggestions? Or is anyone going to be around those dates to talk to her?

Thanks guys :)

I did the culinary program last summer. Post any questions on here and I'd be happy to answer

And of course there's culinary CP's there all year. Any CM in chef whites with a school on their name tag is a CP. She could probably ask them questions as well

Hi there,

I'm looking into starting culinary school after a hard time finding jobs post bachelors degree. I am super excited about this opportunity, but was wondering how difficult it is to get into the culinary program for internship credit. I have this wild plan to do a college program session, followed by the culinary program is that even possible?

I feel like it's easier to get into the culinary program than regular CP because there's obviously a lot less applicants, but I dont know how many get accepted. And also because I often wondered how some of the people I worked with even got accepted. But then again, me and 2 of my friends from school applied and I was the only one that got accepted. :confused3

As for doing a college program session followed by a culinary program; for one, I don't think you can do that. I believe that there has to be at least 6 months between programs, but don't quote me on that. And 2, the culinary program is the college program, everything is the exact same except for the facts that you get paid differently and you will definitely be a cook II (as opposed to a random role like attractions or merchandise or concierge)

But yeah I would definitely recommend the culinary program. Although I wouldn't do it again, I can't deny the fact that it was an incredible experience and I learned a lot. And I can put Disney on my resume :thumbsup2

you can't be on internship for disney for more than a year. So you could do 6 months on the CP, and then 6 months on PI for example. So you should be able to do CP, then Culinary as long as it wouldn't exceed a year. You can always call or email Disney to be 100% sure.
