re transportation and uber, does hollywood studios have the same prob as magic kingdom re not having a drop off right in front just in case we miss bus to/from hotel and dont want to wait? (prob gonna be in one of the hotels near disney springs/french quater)

Personally, I would have lunch in the park, and just make it a long lunch as your break. So much easier and less tiring than going back to your hotel.

Sci fi diner is a good option for a long relaxing lunch (if you can get an ADR).

re muppets, there isnt a showtime sched for the midweek august date, it just says 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Does it run every half hr consistently throughout the day?

The movie is 15 min. When It ends, they move the old audience out and the next audience in as quickly as possible. As soon as everyone is seated they start the next show. So, I'd say the show starts every 18-20 min.
