We have already bought and paid for a Pkg. deal through Disney Travel for our visit next week. Please first of all we understand the penalties of changing your pkg.. What I was wanting to know is what are the chances we could possibly upgrade for a charge a resort view room during our stay since we only have a standard view. I called Disney Travel but they wanted a large amount to change our room reservation and I just wanted to know if it's at all possible to obtain this view once we check in. Of course we expect a difference in the price, but not what the Walt Disney Travel Company wanted us to pay!!! Thanks, Chip.

Which hotel?
You can always ask if its possible to upgrade at cost when you check in. I wouldn't hold my breath. They are probably booked up since it's Spring Break, but I suppose it's possible that they've overbooked standard view and underbooked view rooms. If you are talking about the DLH, some rooms from the Marina Tower offer views of the fireworks at standard view price. If you aren't able to upgrade, perhaps you can request a Marina Tower fireworks view.
