You need to have the points available at the time of your stay, not when you book.

Will you have used all of your 2015 points?

Yes you can use your 2016 points and borrow from 2017 for your December 2016 stay.

Yeah!! I received our Membership letter in the mail yesterday, 2 wks exactly after deed recorded. You guys were right and Oct was all sold out but we were able to book the last week of Sept 5 nights in a Studio on points, which is close enough to Oct for me. Not even a split stay! So EXCITED!!!
