Any chance Reflections is reignited?

It’s clear that the pandemic didn’t really slow down real estate. DVC sales in particular seem as hot as ever. It seems like reflections would be just as justified now as it was in 2019.

Does anyone think Disney will put this resort back on the table or even come up with an alternate DVC resort using the same-plot of land?

I do, but it's probably several years in the future. I wouldn't advise waiting for it.

I think they will build it eventually. It seems things are getting back to normal for attendance and since this was a shared resort, I can see it coming to be within. 5 years.

We were at WDW in May and toured most of the DVC resorts. I made a comment about Reflections being cancelled during one of the tours and the CM said that it was back on and that something had just been done (can't remember if it was paperwork being filed or what). She didn't have many details but seemed pretty certain it was happening. If it was so certain, I would think there would be more info on it.

With Riviera and the new VGF building DVC has points to sell for a few years at WDW. What the next big project will be? It might very well be Reflections, which would seem logical since all the work they've already done in the planning stage ands some preliminary work on the grounds. The only problem is that the project was for a mixed use hotel. what might kill Reflections is if Disney don't want more hotel rooms. Since they're converting more VGF hotel rooms to DVC, it seems at the moment they may be willing to reduce inventory, not increase it.

Never say never. However, there are rumors of a new DVC just to the north of the TTC. Also, with the completion of the walkway from the Floridian to the Magic Kingdom, the land just to the west and north of the canal is prime location. If they get around to building the Skyway to Animal Kingdom, I could see a new DVC to east of the AK parking lot. In other words, the Reflections site I do not believe is going to be very high on the list.

Some of that land isn't buildable - in fact, a lot of the remaining property Disney owns isn't buildable on scale (small buildings might work depending on why). Some of it is protected, some of it just isn't buildable due to the ground.

Al three pieces of land I have mentioned are buildable. You are correct much of the rest of WDW is not.

I’ve been thinking a resort to the north of AK would be good. They could build a second entrance back there that would make the area north of Asia easier to develop. Then link that resort to the Coronado and Blizzard Beach with a sky liner.
