I am buying a resale and will probably close in Aug.

Is there any chance at all that we would be able to book a 2br and a studio ANYWHERE during the week of thanksgiving for my large family.......sun-fri?

Unfortunately, no. They got booked up at 11 months and anything left was taken at 7 months. You could get next year, though.

Christmas will be about the same. Nothing available.

There are already waitlists for Thanksgiving week. That's a very popular time for members to visit WDW.

Availability does change frequently, so no one is suggesting that you not try. However, I agree that your chances are small, especially since you need space for so many.

There are rooms available on WDW but not at the DVC Resorts probably. If you need a Disney Fix.....I know they have rooms available because we decided to book a trip for that week last Monday and we got rooms at CBR for 8 nights...we are a family of 5 so we booked 2 rooms. Of course we are paying cash vs. using points.

If you were buying Direct (not Resale) your Guide may have been able to do some Disney Magic for you (Bringing declared cash inventory back to points).


Sadly, I wouldn't hold too much hope (some, but not much) for most of January either!

Humm.... I am truly addicted to DVC and the world , and greatly enjoyed Debs discription of the Trumbe? Canal stay , but for the life of me I can not imagine staying there during Thanksgiving or Christmas . Maybe one of these years my bride and I will have to experience one or the other to understand what you all are talking about.
