Got a question about my old point and shoot 35 mm.

It's always been great....ready to go, has enough zoom to keep me happy, takes good pics and is a good backup for when the digital runs out of juice or I forget to charge it

Anyway....the last roll of film I got back had orange lines across 23 out of 24 of the pictures....the roll before that had 2 o 3 pics messed up but I thought it was just the flash hitting something and bouncing....but this seems something definitely wrong with the camera. Any clue what it may be? Can it be fixed or should I just go camera shopping?

(BTW...this is an old Olympus point & shoot 35 mm.....can replace it with the new version for only $119 I think, although I'm thinking of upgrading to a real camera if this one needs to be replaced....)

Im a film geek...

sounds to me like your iris may not be closing all the way...or your film door isn't cutting...I'd say take it to a repair shop (heck if you were here, Id say bring it to me, Id fix it for free, but to no avail...) but for the expense, might as well replace it.

Good luck.

Thanks, Josh!

I figured replace it would be the answer....since p&s cameras are so affordable...

Just for info...what would a repair like that cost? Any idea?

without lookin gat it, it would be tough to tell...depends on who did it..your looking at at least $50 i would say..probably more depending on what exactly is wrong

Good luck!
