We will be at WDW for the next two weeks (woo hoo) and plan to spend one day at Bucsh Gardens. Does anyone have any tips that they would like to share? We always bring snacks and drinks into the Disney parks, does Busch Gardens allow this?

We went a while ag0 (2 years ago) and they allowed water/snacks.

My first tip would be to not go! Seriously. We hated it !

Rhino Rally was half working, Gwazi was down, Montu was only running one train (made for a 20 minute delay) , and one other coaster was down.

Basically we did a few coasters, rode the sky ride and went home. We did the train, and we went back.

It was included in our Flex Pass, but I wouldn't have done it if it wasn't.

Be prepared for the heat!! It's a lot of walking and it's mostly in the open so don't forget your sunscreen! Oh...and the water rides (Congo River Rapids and Tidal Wave especially) will get you soaked! If you don't like wearing wet clothes, you may want to bring a change and some flip flops or something.

Have fun!

I guess you can't please everyone but I think BG is an excellent park.

For under 6s they have some really cute kiddy rides and play areas.

For preteens there are a couple of smaller coasters and fair ground style rides

For thrill seeker (teens and usually dads :D ) some brilliant roller coasters

For adults some decent shows and free beer :drinking1

For the whole family there are some excellent log flume rides ( put Disney's efforts at AK to shame) , good animal enclosures, feeding paraketes and overall I thought the food was pretty good as well.

Cindy, maybe you had an unfortunate day, but to complain about a 20 minute wait time for a major ride I think is unfair ( and I judge the rest of your comments from that) . On trips to Disney's parks I'd be overjoyed if the average wait for the better rides was 20 minutes let alone the worst.

I agree BG can be a lot of walking and is pretty hot. Drink lots (not just beer LOL) , use sun screen and beware of the water rides, you will get VERY wet. In the summer this can be very refreshing, but pick clothes that dry of reasonably quickly as you don't want to be walking about in sodden jeans all afternoon. I would also take a change of clothes, even if just for the car journey home.

I .

Well considering they only had one train running on a Wednesday morning in August, it shoudl have been no wait. As the ride line began to get long, they did run a second train, but with the other coaster down, they should have had two trains running already to compensate for the exra crowds. A 5 minute wait was posted. After Gwazi being down, Rhino Rally being half done, and one more thing being down (the thing that is now Goosebumps) there was nothing that my thrillseeker daughter could ride besides carnival flat rides.

We got there at 9, left at 12:30. There wasn't much to do!

I live in Tampa and have not gone to Busch Gardens in 5 years. I have friends that go all the time but it was never that wonderful for me. I prefer the atmopshere of other parks. But with that said the coasters are pretty good...but as someone else said be prepared for heat...its hot here!
