ok, so i was wondering... do any of you biological science job holding people work more than 8 hours in a day?

i'm seeming to work from 9 am until 6 pm or sometimes later. i also have to work on weekends sometimes.

is this normal?

my dd is working on her biochem/microbiology degree. I"m hoping there's work out there for somebody with that type of degree.

oh, trust me, there's tons of work.

i got a job on my first try. she should look at universities and pharmaceutical companies when she graduates. they always hire the right out of college people.

i was a biochem major.

I was working 60 hrs a week! :duck:

really? ugh. that's what i'm basically working right now and it's driving me crazy. i seriously get really poed at night and start yelling and get really angry.

I'm not a bio person but I work for a medical school and the lab people all work extremely hectic schedules.

universities and pharm companies are her choices. She's hoping to work somewhere that will help pay for grad school.

i guess i just need to get back into the chem field. i've been driving myself crazy trying to do too many things at once and make everyone happy at work. it's too hard for me. i had an internship at a chemical company over the summer and i worked from 9 am to 5 pm and i loved every minute of being there.

i'm just getting too tired to even care about what i'm doing in lab anymore. :guilty:
