Just wondering if anyone has booked Jet Blue online for travel within the US?
I'm looking for flights from Orlando to Syracuse NY and Jet Blue was one of the options. Prices were good and they allow one free checked bag. We usually fly AA on points but may need to actually pay for one segment on the next trip so have started doing some research. Any info would be appreciated.

The only Aussies I know who have flown JetBlue had their luggage go into outer space for 6 days, which all but wrecked their holiday and cost them the money the saved flying a budget instead of a "better" carrier, and then some.

But that was just their experience.

Just check the fine print on your bookings - I think they are a "no show - done your dough" airline, there's no bumping you to the next available flight if you miss your connection.

Since posting I managed to find a couple of threads discussing Jet Blue in the main area and the reviews there give nothing but praise. I've had my luggage lost by the "best" so always plan for this with insurance etc. Two trips ago my luggage destined for Toronto was sent to Baltimore by AA. It took a few days to sort it out but we eventually received it by courier. According to the courier he did luggage deliveries on a regular basis. Jet Blue despite being more expensive than the more well know airlines has better schedules for where we need to go. If we do decide to use them I will definately give a review.

We flew Jet blue from New York down to Orlando and had no problems at all a very pleasant flight it was as you would expect from a no frills airline.

I have flown Jet blue several times in the US and it has been amazing everytime. As a Qantas FF i usually also book AA, but have to say that JetBlue beats them hands down. Staff are friendly, free seat back tv, and free snacks and drinks.AA don't feed u anymore and often are more expensive......

i actually prefer JetBlue now over most others in the US.

I originally posted this ages ago and thought I would just update with our experiences:

The service onboard was absolutely fantastic. The staff friendly which was a nice change. Drinks and snacks of choice provided at no extra cost. Not a big deal but more than some others provide.

Seats had more leg room and were wider than AA. Very appreciated by my husband who is over 6" (we didn't have one of their extra leg room seats)

The only problem we encountered was our connecting flight from JFK to Syracuse was cancelled sometime in the night before we left for the airport. There was a major storm on the east coast so many flights from many airlines were being cancelled.
The staff handled this very well, we had been re-booked on an 11 pm flight out of JFK (12 hours after landing) They tried to get us to another close by airport and waited while we tried to change our car reservation. No luck there so they suggested we try for a standby when we got to JFK. We did this and were allowed to board a 2:45 flight to Syracuse. Unfortunately as we got on about 5 mins before the flight left our luggage didn't get on the same flight.
When we arrived in Syracuse the girl in their luggage office told us to head off to our destination and they would send our luggage on. We were heading to Canada so we decided to go to a hotel and come back to get our luggage. She gave us info on which hotel to stay at as they had a stranded passenger rate and then gave me the mobile number of her supervisor just in case we had any problems when we came back to pick up our luggage, and told us to check before coming back as she was concerned that the next flight was going to be cancelled as well.
The flight came in and we got our luggage no problem.

I would definately use them again. The customer service and in flight service is the best I've experienced with a US carrier since the 80's.
If I'm paying for a flight (we redeem a lot of ff points for flights on AA) and they service where I am going they will definately be on the top of my list.

Thanks for updating. I'm flying with them from Orlando to Cancun in March :goodvibes

Any more updates on Jet Blue? i am looking at booking them for our NY to ORL leg.

I've booked them for MCO - LGA (New York) after reading screeds of reviews for a bunch of airlines. Will update in October lol!

We flew jetblue from washington DC to Orlando in Jan this year. It was fine. I liked getting snacks and drinks on the plane! Plane was clean, we didn't feel too squashed and the staff were friendly.

I'm very glad to see the positive reviews for JetBlue. We are flying from Orlando to Nassau, then returning to Orlando with JetBlue, and even though it's a short flight - I would still like it to be kind of pleasant!!

Even though we will be swimming for the 5 days that we will be in the Bahamas - I would like to have a couple of clothing options for the nights - so I hope that our luggage comes with us!!

The only time that I had ever heard of JetBlue before was in the musical Legally Blonde - "......and we flew here on JetBlue - thankyou!!!". (Look it up on youtube - it's a great show!!) :goodvibes
