Hi~
We're going to fly Allegiant for the first time in May and I was curious about their seating policy. It will be my two teenage sons and myself flying so I'm not going to pay the extra $11 for assigned seats. What I was wondering are they pretty good about seating parties together? I noticed the seating is 3 and 2 which would be perfect for the three of us so I was hoping they at least make an effort.
Another thing... the flight doesn't appear very full at this point and I realize it's still early but if they have a flight without many passengers they don't cancel the flight do they? I know they are not one of the major carriers so I was wondering how that is handled. I sure don't want to be stranded at the last minute without airfare and have to pay 5 times what I paid for Allegiant because of the lack of passengers. :upsidedow
The fare is $39 each way so I can't pass that up!!! Anyone with any insight?

Thanks!
Carla

Carla we just flew on allegiant a couple of weeks ago , we paid for the preferred seating going down but not on the return flight. When we checked in on the return flight , the attendant assigned all our seats together . Just ask when you check in , we didn't ask but they did it anyway.
Our flight didn't look that full either for a long time , but it was FULL.

Thanks Mskanga, I feel much better already!!! Geez, for the $39 price I would fly hanging upside down!!! The fares on all the majors are over $300 so I'm thrilled beyond belief to find Allegiant.

Carla we paid $12 per person from saint pete's to allentown , it was a 12 hour promotion that I happened to get one day , then the way down we paid $29 also another promotion.
Now also understand that there might be the possibility that they may not get you all the seats together , we were lucky that they could for us.

I know that this last November when my mom and I flew Allegiant from GB to Las Vegas (not flying to Orlando yet from up here) we did pay the extra for the preassigned seats and I thought that it was worth it as we then had priority boarding. I think that on the flight home we were the first two on the plane.

I booked them for May also, me and my two teens. I would not pay for the seating choice. My guys might be better off away from me, I don't like to fly:scratchin We are flying from Chattanooga on May 27. Where are you flying from and when?

My two sons ages 17 and 14 and I are flying out of Chattanooga on May 29!!! How cool is that? I didn't spend the extra money on the pre-assigned seats either. I would rather spend that $66 on something at Disney!!! Yes, I think my boys would pay the airline to sit away from me if the truth were known!!! :rotfl:
I couldn't resist the $39 fares so I changed our trip from September to May. I didn't want to wait that long to go anyway so it worked out really well!!!;)
