Hi, i've been looking to book for nov 2012 during free dining, but the flights r stll not available to book, if I book the Disney stuff, will I have to pay any costs if I need to move the dates slightly??

Also any thought on POR over OKW, as the price diffrence is hardly anything?

Thanks in advance x

You can change dates, resorts, etc after the initial booking without any fees. With that said, if you make any changes after the 45 day mark (at which time final payment is due), and the total cost of the package decreases, you will be charged a $50 change fee. This fee is usually waived if the change results in an increase in cost. Also keep in mind that when changing resorts, the resort you want to change to has to have availability under that offer in order for you to switch. I can't help regarding POR and OKW as we've never stayed at either resort. Good luck and happy planning :wizard:.

I love POR. The landscapping is beautiful. Great resort. OKW is much more spread out, and you may have longer walks to amenities.
POR has a boat to DTD (OKW does too), Horse & Carriage rides, marina, fishing hole, fun main pool, evening entertainment in the lounge.
It's my fav moderate resort.

Allears.net has loads of pics of all the resorts, maps & fact sheets you may find helpful. http://www.portorleans.org/ this is a great site on POR.

I think POR and OKW are pretty comparable, except for the fact that OKW is deluxe and POR is mod. I think POR is in a better location - OKW is close to DTD which can mean a longer commute to the parks on the buses due to the distance. OKW may have a few more amenities since it's deluxe and also has DVC. Olivia's at OKW is also a great hidden gem of a TS restaurant. The decor is different - I prefer the decor of POR. If the price was right, I'd try OKW though just to do deluxe.

Thanks for the replys :)

We have stayed at POR on our 2 previous trips & we really love it, we did a split stay on our Honeymoon, POR & AK, then 2 weeks at POR christmas 2008....so now i'm wondering if another split between POR & OKW might be an idea? Just a bit torn because we did'nt have our DD (who will be just 3 when we go) last time, so dont want to unsettle her if we moved resorts after a week :confused3

I'm sure I'll be spending some time on here trying to decide! x:goodvibes

We have never stayed at POR (though it would be our choice if our moderate were not available).

We stayed at OKW for four nights in September and I am going back there in two months for a girls only trip and looking forward to being back at OKW!.

Just Curious...Did they already announce that there will be free dining in November 2012?????

No. Right now it is only through March 2012.

My suggestion is to go over to the discount codes and rates board; subscribe to a thread for November 2012 discounts and they post the information as it is announced.

With a kiddo, try for a 1 bedroom at OKW. They are great and you will love the extra room and the washer/dryer in the room as well.
