Hello!

We used to take annual trips in October, since the weather is so nice and it is (usually) a less crowded season. However, last year when we went (I think a week before Halloween), the parks were PACKED. I guess I must have missed some special events scheduling or something. This October/November is going to be a particularly special event, because it will be celebrating my wife finishing her chemotherapy treatments, so we'd really like to go at a time when it is a little quieter.
Does anyone have any opinions on which of these weeks would be least crowded in the parks?

Sunday through Friday, October 10-15
Sunday though Friday, October 17-22
Sunday through Friday, October 24-29
Sunday through Friday, November 14-19

As I said, normally I am not that picky, but this is really going to be a special time for DW and DS, not to mention Grandparents on this trip as well, and I really want to do everything that I can to make it extra extra special.

Any and all opinions welcome!! :teeth:

Thanks!!

Jon

What a great way to celebrate - best of luck!

As to the dates, I do know that the later you go in October, the busier it gets - mostly due to MNSSHP. I also believe that the Epcot Food & Wine festival starts around that time. I'd say November would be better; but we've never gone then. See what others say.

Don't forget Columbus Day (Oct 11) that will cause more people to be there as well. Last I knew, Oct was no longer "value season" because so many people were going during that time. Personally I'd pick Sunday through Friday, November 14-19 if I were you :) No matter what that is a wonderful way to celerate :sunny:

Absolutely avoid Columbus Day week. I would pick Oct. 17-22, if you enjoy the Food and Wine festival, but I bet the November dates are less crowded.

We usually try going on or just before Halloween. My anniversary is on the 30th and we went there for our honeymoon and it wasn't packed at all. We usually go from like the 30th of October to around the 5th of November.

I'm leaning towards thinking November is a better time to go, but being tempted to do October anyway because it's so long since we've been. :teeth: But I'm still anxious to hear anyone who still has any opinion one way or the other about the dates! Thanks again to everyone who has responded!

Remember to avoid Thanksgiving vacation while planning a November trip. I think it's about the second week of November when it starts getting really busy.
