Any advice on the Candle Processional and dinner packages?

I had booked a reservation for Coral Reef at 8:30 pm but it doesn't say whether that includes the Candlelight Processional package. I'm guessing it doesn't. If it does, then that's great.

I'm interested in attending the Candlelight Processional but with the dinner packages all sold out that seems like it may not happen.

I was told you could just wait in the standby line and wait to get in. I also have a DAS and was hoping on the day-of to ask some cast members about wanting to go to the Processional. I've heard mixed things, some say you can use your DAS to not wait in line and wait somewhere else, others say you can't, others say getting into the Processional without a dining package is an impossibility.

Any advice? Thanks!

I think you'll be OK in the standby line because you're there when crowds are "lower" (not low) than say the week of Christmas week. Pack your pateince and queue as early as you can.

And you already guessed this, but no - your ressie doesn't inc. the Candlelight Processional. You have to book the Candlelight Processional Dining Package through the website - not through the Disney Dining restaurant (in this case Coral Reef). It's a fixed price depending on "tier" of restaurant (and the meal is prix fixe meaning you choose your app, entree, dessert, non-alc beverages inc, etc.) and the meal times are according to the show you picked. They'll give you your "vouchers" at the end of the meal and that is what they check when you're in the Dining Package line.

Thank you so much! <3

I should add that we did our last Candlelight Processional pacckage at Spice Road (first itme dining there) and were pleasantly surprised. Restaurant was empty (granted we had to go pretty early for dinner because we had an earlier seating), service fantastic (bc there were emtpy tables) and the food fantastic. The value is absolutely apparent here when it comes to the package tier and what we received. We were so full, we took the baklava desserts to-go. Highly recommend if the cuisine looks appealing to you!

Thank you so much! I love Moroccan cuisine and just visited Morocco a couple years ago so that's definitely my preference. Do you remember what your meal consisted of? Spice Road is a small plates/tapas place so I'm wondering what they would do for a full prix fixe menu.

Wow OK I just looked at the menu and shocked that it's changed quite drastically. It used to be an entree based menu (a la carte). Not small plates. Sounds like it changed when Disney took over the pavilion.

Menu still looks great. Desserts very similar. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I think you are confusing Restaurant Marrakesh and Spice Road Table. Marrakesh is currently closed but used to offer entrees. It was located I the back of the Pavillion. Spice Road Table has always been small plates and is located on the lagoon in the very front of the pavillion.

Nope! I have also dined at Marrakesh multiple times - how can you forget the belly dancer!?

I am not mixing up Spice Road - in the past, pre-COVID, the restaurant served small plates and also full-sized entrees. Here's a menu dating back to Dec 2018: https://www.wdwmagic.com/dining/spice-road-table/menus/lunch/dec2018.htm

OP / @lizw47 - still can't help you, as the menu has changed quite a bit from when I was there, but now I remember what we had - rack of lamb, strip steaks, and the fish. All were excellent. We were so stuffed (it was a lot of food), we had to take the baklava assortment to go (or we would burst)! Good luck deciding and have fun!

During the COVID closure the third party that ran Marrakesh and Spice Road, as well as the rest of Morocco pavilion, apparently went bankrupt or pulled out and Disney took over operation of the pavilion. They've reopened Spice Road but not Marrakesh. One of the changes Disney made was going back to small plates at Spice Road, which served full entrees after it became a TS selection on the dining plan.

Not sure what a package will look like there now - you might get to choose several from a selection of small plates.

Thank you everybody for your posts, you have been very helpful!

Yes, I am guessing the package will consist of a variety of small plates. Hopefully some hummus fries. Yum :)

Also I'm quite happy to see the Regal Eagle package is $39.99 and I'm guessing the Spice Road Table package will be a similar price. That's much cheaper than the other four restaurants.

I'm just glad to know that they are offering day-of sign up for people who didn't get an advanced reservation. I'm planning on going to Epcot next week and signing up for a package first thing when I get there. I'll let everybody know how it goes :)
