Any advice for this Disney cheapskate?

I'm planning a trip for next Sept. for 12 nights, 13 days. There will be 2 adults (no kids), and we're splitting accommodations between the All-Star Movies and Contemporary Resorts. I've looked into the MYW Plus Dining, but I doubt that we'll use the snack options (they're pretty limited). Also, there are a few restaurants that aren't participating that we really want to go to.

I've also looked into Annual Passes with DDE added on. I've heard you can get some pretty good discounts on hotels and restaurants with these (but only on certain hotels at certain times of the year-- no guarantee that either of our hotel choices would be included).

Anybody have any suggestions on which plan might be best? I'm so confused! Thanks for any help!

Do you plan to visit the parks on each of those 13 days? If so, then the APs can make good financial sense, even without any of the perks or discounts.

An adult 10-day MYW Hopper (expiry) would cost you $247.08. An additional 3-day MYW Hopper would cost you $219.39 for a total of $466.47 for 13 days of park hopping.

An adult AP would cost you $420.68. So, you would end up a few dollars ahead of the game and would be able to plan another vacation with park tickets already paid for if you decide to return within the year.

I think that you already have determined that the MYW Dining option is not for you.

My advise:
Book your room-only ressies when you have your dates set.
Hold off on buying the AP vouchers until any packages are announced for the fall. If no good package deals come out, keep the room-only ressies and buy the APs. It would be a bonus if there are also AP discounts for your dates.
