I'd like to hear of anyone's experiences getting from the Orlando Amtrak station to Disney.

Last time we took the train, we used Tiffany Towncar. It was decent, but I felt bad because our train was 2 hours delayed and the guy was waiting and waiting. Anyone have any good experiences with transportation from the station to the resorts?

We will be arriving on April 18th and have booked Tiffany for the 5 of us. We are hoping it works well and that we are not too late. We are scheduled to arrive at 11:45 and have 4:00 PS in MK. It was my understanding that they track the arrival times so they don't wait around.

We had Tiffany Towncars pick us up at Kissimmee which is a shorter drive to WDW. Don't "feel bad" if your train is late! They do watch the arrival times - that is their business! Have a nice tip ready for the driver, then relax!

Tiffany is supposed to monitor the train. However, if it's going to be more than an hour late, I usually give them a call from Jacksonville to let them know that the train will be delayed.

Is the Kissammee station closer?, I was told that Orlando station was about a half hour and the Kissammee would be 45-60 minutes away so we are going to the Orlando station

Kissimmee is indeed closer, though more people use the Orlando station and hence there are often more transportation options available there (rental cars, shuttles, etc.). No way is Kissimmee even close to 45-60 minutes.

we took a local van serivce last time we traveled to disney from the amtrak station. not most luxurious van i have ever been in. we did have to wait for the van to fill up first. we also had 2 other stops before our hotel not a bad experience but this time i wanted direct transportation.

this trip we are using happy limo for our car service needs from the amtrak station. i asked the receptionist what to do in case of a train delay. she said that they do check for arrival times and delays but if we know ahead of time that we are going to be delayed that if we would call them to let them know.

this advice has already been stated by previous posters and it is good advice. this is what we will do if delayed. delays are a way of life with amtrak. GoofyinNY said he usually calls around Jacksonville if delayed and this is what i will do. Thanks GoofyinNY.

i dont want to start off my disney vacation dealing with an annoyed driver. they understand that delays are way of life for them but if you show courtesy to them you almost will definitly have it returned to you with excellent service.

enjoy your trip
