Any Advantage to Charging my Resort Stay to Disney Visa?

Hi there,

We are going to WDW in December. When I made the ressie, I put the deposit on my Amex, since they give better points on hotel stays. Would there be any advantage to me to put the whole trip on my Disney Visa? Do I get anything extra (besides the 1%), like Disney dollars or a lanyard or anything?

Thanks,
Michelle

You get 6 months interest free. That's all.

You get 6 months interest free if you purchase a package using the Disney Visa. We did not get free interest on our room charges that we charged to our Disney Visa. Just the points.

You may already know this but for every 100.00 you spend on your card you get a 1.00 is disney dollars. We always put our vacations on our card and give the rewards to our 5 yr old son to spend on the trip. This gives him his own "credit Card" and makes it more special for him. Hope this may help you.

I forgot my husband mentioned we had the card and I do believe we got a discount or something it may be worth looking into. Our trip is August 27. Just 2 weeks from today Yeah!!!

i used my disney visa to book and pay for my room in june.there weren't any discounts or perks.you should check the chase visa site to see if there are any perks for using the card at wdw in december.

It sure would be nice if they gave higher % back on spending in WDW and at DL. So many other cards have better loyalty programs. That said I still use my Disney Visa for everything since that is the reward that I will use the most. I just wish they would give more for actual spending with Disney. You do get a discount (10%) for purchases at World of Disney in DTD when you use the Disney Visa.

Weird - I just got my most recent statement in the mail, and it looks like I got the 6 months 0% APR on the 3 deposits I made in June for upcoming trips (room only AP rate at GF in a little over a week; and AP Best Rate reservations for WL and POFQ (now BWI) for Nov./Dec.).

I could maybe see them considering AP Best Rate a "package" due to those lovely cancellation and non-refundable provisions. I have no idea, though, why they're considering my AP room only room at GF for the promotional pricing.

Maybe I just got lucky?! Who knows! :confused3
