Any additional fees when renting?

Hi
Im a first time renter, are there any fees, other than the points I pay for, that I will incur? Do I need to pay anything for Magical Express if I am not using it?

Generally no, but that may depend on where you stay.

There is no tax on a points stay. Nor is there any charge for DME, parking at theme parks, EMH, etc. Those benefits are for ALL onsite guests and have nothing to do with DVC.

You will also be able to purchase DDP if you choose; however both DDP and DME arrangements will have to be made by the owner you rent from. For DDP, the owner will notify MS you want it, and you will pay for DDP at checkin.

If you stay at one of the hotel resorts which has valet parking, you will probably have to pay for valet -- although they have free self-parking. Free valet parking is a perk of DVC membership, and they usually ask to see our membership cards.

There's a day by day fee for the Internet, if you want to use it -- which is ridiculous IMHO. It's free for members staying on points. (Even HoJo provides free internet).

I've been to lots of hotels on business where I had to pay for daily internet. Marriotts, Hiltons, Hyatts, etc.
