I got a PIN yesterday for August that said call for other dates, so I did. She told me my PIN was only good until November. I asked her, "So, nothing there that's good next April?" and she said not yet. Strange thing was that she said my PIN was for free dining but my email said it was % off Values package. Turns out that if you run the numbers, it really was a free dining PIN without them saying "free dining" in the email. I really like things straight forward, not disguised.

WE are going Sept 14-22 2012 . I realy would love a code. We are booked at AOA family of 5 but kids would love Beach Club No way they are getting their wish without a discount.

Anxiously waiting here as well. I know it's ridiculously early and all but... I know when I'm going now and I want to know exactly how much I am going to be spending. For the mean time, I've priced it out with no discounts but that's not an accurate number--I know there will be SOME sort of discount in September 2012... but what will it be? Or will I get a fantastic PIN??? AAAH!

I really want a pin for Jan...I hate that we are not booked...I just want to book but I know we wont pay rack rate (too expensive)...did price out rack and added $100 in case they do free dining like the one now and that is a doable price...come on pins...

If you book room only now at least you can secure a room...then add the discount later. This way you can stay where you want and it won't be booked up. My week is already booked for end of April 2012! I had to change my dates and it is 10 months out!

Wow! Where were you staying?

I was just playing around with pricing on the site trying to see if we will do AKL or if it would make sense to stay at a monorail resort instead. Many of the normal room types at the GF and I think CR weren't on there. I just assumed that since it was early to book fo next year that they just weren't there yet. Maybe they are already booked??? I was looking for the week starting April 27th as well as the one starting May 5. We go down on a Friday and leave on a Saturday or Sunday.

I wonder if that was the same email I opened a bit ago. I was playing around with it and noticed that it said room only rate (or something like that). Since I'm not this year, I didn't really pay it to much attention. However, I did think it was odd that it didn't say anything about park passes or meals.

One more thing, I have not checked my email in weeks. I was surprised to see so many pins codes. I think about 4 since April in my main account and 3 more in the junk account. I don't know what I did to get so lucky. I sure hope they roll in like that next year for our August 2012 trip.

How do you get a pin and what do they usually consist of? I would love to stay at the Poly but the only way we could do it is if we get the 40% they sometimes offer. When do they offer the discounts? and pins?

On another topic, anyone use a travel agent? I am looking at MEI and Mouse Fan Travel. The rate they quoted me beats the website by around $200 to $300. We are going in June of 2012.

You can book now, but when a discount comes out, that's not a guarantee you can keep your existing room. They only set aside so many rooms at each hotel for each discount. To take advantage of the discount, you may need to change your room category or even your hotel. We were booked at WL a few Decembers ago, and when a discount came out, we couldn't use it at WL since all those rooms were already taken. Our choices were pay full price at WL or stay somewhere else with a discount, so we stayed somewhere else.

A travel agent rate for 2012 should actually be pretty much identical to Disney. (sometimes they will kick back a part of their commission to you in a small gift card or something, but shouldn't be a 200-300 difference)

Make sure you are comparing apples to apples. Were both prices for the exact same room? Were they for the exact same ticket, or was 1 quote with park hoppers, etc?
