Any 10-16-04 cruisers yet?

All the MAYBES in the world will never erase the hurt in my heart caused on that dreadful day by my friends. Oh, but I am sure that they had a good time.........and so what if Bobo (being his usual trendy self) chose to wear only one sock, as is the Hawaiin tradition? (Well, maybe it is).
We will have fun Rollie is waiting.............Julebobo

Hello...........Getting so excited here I cant stand it!

I hope you stay safe there in Florida.........Doesnt it always seem those Corrections Officers are at work at the worse times?? Blizzards, tropical storms, anything.......My husband works second shift and I hate when we are having a storm and he isnt here. And for some reason ever since Andrew was born.......it's hard to get him to call off sick! Before it used to be every Sunday he'd call off......Now for some reason he has to "save" his sick time....Go figure  ........Gotta give them credit though....It's not a nice place to be.........I work in the office there and everyday we feel like we are getting "locked up" Good thing I like the people I work with, need to have a little fun..............My friend had to cancel her trip to the Bahamas, she was supposed to leave today and was advised not to go because of the hurricane......they are sooooo sad.

Anyway..........Everytime I hear the Hawaii stories it's as if I was hearing them for the first time.......They're even better in person........Poor Aunt Jule, if you took me with you, I sure wouldnt have left you slumped over tieing your shoes!!

I cant believe we go away next month.......I hope Andrew starts walking before we leave.......Good night

Oh Teva...you are so funny. I recently read a line in a book that went something like, {the only carnal knowledge I subscribe to these days is culinary} I can relate! I would have tried not to giggle to death and just lay, lie, whatever...(where's that english teacher) on the floor until one of those bone-heads offered to assist me up. Chivalry is dead.

Sandy... did you get my PM?

Man, this is the day I could use a Buchwacker :drinking1

I took Mekayla to met her new 2nd grade teacher today (after an eight hour day at work) and there are 32 children on the class rolls. Doesn't that seem like a lot for one teacher? I thought so...then I hit her with the "sorry, Mekayla will be out of school for two weeks..." speech. I thought she was gonna' send me to the principal's office for encouraging truancy. I told her I had been planning this trip since before Mekayla was in Kindergarten...so kinna' sorry about the bad timimg, but deal with it. (After all, I have my priorities in order...Mekayla, Me & Mickey)

Sandy and all the rest of your Floridians, PLEASE BE SAFE!!! I have watching closely and I am very concerned for all of you! I know what you mean about your husband having to be at work during these rough times! Garry, my DH is a police officer here in Ohio and he is called in during storms and everything else that might cause problems. Last year we were hit with that HUGE blackout. Since we have cordless phones which don't work without electricity, the station couldn't call him in, right.... WRONG!! They sent someone to our house to get him!!! It was strange because you didn't know WHY the entire state was out (or for the other states as well, was it an accident or terrorists?). Anyways, I was prego with our 3rd child and it wasn't a fun night for me with a 4 year old and 2 year old! SOOO, I can understand your feelings COMPLETELY!

Thinking of you so sending Pixie Dust your way! Be safe! And keepus posted!!

Thea ~ Yes, I got your PM. I PM'd you back that day, but when I went to Sent Items, just now, it wasn't there. Sorry, don't know what happened. I'm really glad you like the signs. I'll do the one with the Mickey balloons for Mekayla. Bad news though - I won't be able to mail them out this week like I had planned. I've been VERY busy getting ready for this hurricane :worried: and I won't have time to get to the post office, even if it is open. I'm sorry. I promise, as soon as the weather gets better I'll mail them right out.

They cancelled school for tomorrow and Friday. DH is going to put the last hurricane shutter up tomorrow morning and it's going to be completely dark in my house. :scared1: My mom and step father (and their cat) are being evacuated from their house tomorrow at noon so they'll be staying with us until they're given the OK to go back. :crowded:  I might go crazy even before the storm hits.

:cat: My poor little kitty is trying so hard to look out her window and can't figure out why she can't see anything.

Yes...but how many socks were YOU wearing? :magnify:

......I hope Andrew starts walking before we leave.......Good night [/B][/QUOTE]

No you don't! The they want to walk everywhere ans don't want to sit nice in their stroller.

Sandy: Hang in there with Frances!

Going to start moving this weekend.

I was just sitting here, on my lunch break, trying to avoid the rain. I don't know what I was thinking, being a Letter Carrier in Oregon. The Post Office should issue us Boats, in stead of Mail Trucks...

Sandy!...are you crazy girlfriend?!?! Don't give my signs a second thought! I just wanted you to know what Mekayla's choice was, since you gave her one...Don't even think about making or sending the signs until things settle down. I hope you guys fare the weather well. If I don't get them before we leave...I'll just knock on your stateroom door.::yes:: Just kidding. Please keep us posted on the weather conditions there, though and your safety and sanity.

Speaking of Sanity... I have none left. I am MICKEY CRAZY! Hey, just outa' curiosity have any of you read the Da Vinci Code? Whatcha' think about all the Disney references? Kinda' cool.princess:

Were pulling links off the countdown chain everyday! It's kinda' neat seeing something tangible get smaller and smaller as the days get closer and closer. How much stuff do you forget to pack on average? I have rearranged our bags once already and I still have stuff I'd like to bring and can't fit...can anyone say packrat?

WldWcnWmn, You have already packed???? I wanted to start packing, but decided to wait until the documents arrive. From what other people on the board have said, I guess we can start looking for our docs around the 15th or 20th.

A DCL CM told me that they are sent out from 15 to 30 days prior to the cruise.

Can you believe it is September already? October 16th can't get here soon enough. October 16th to 23rd better go by really slow, though. I want my "princess" treatment to go by as slowly as possible!

Gloria

Sandy....hoping Frances has some mercy on you. I'll say a prayer.

Denine....how's the unpacking going? When do you think you'll be totally moved in or are you already? And by the way...Andrew does not and has never "sat nice" any where. He's a little :hyper:

Gloria....I also can't believe that it's September already! We are going to be cruising before you know it! ::yes::

Thea...you didn't happen to see my check in among your mail did you? I'm missing a big one. Ed McMahon says he mailed it out a long time ago. I think Ed's lying.

Have to go...Big Brother's coming on.

Talk to you all later,
Denise

Hi Denine,
Sorry about your cat...it is so hard to lose a pet. Hope the move is going okay.

We leave 6 weeks from tomorrow, Yeah !!! Have already started rescheduling appts for the 15th-23rd, which makes it all seem very real. I will not pack till the day before...don't have enough clothes to have any out of commission...

Does anyone know ? Can wine be carried on the plane or not...want to stop at Delicato vineyards in the next couple of weeks and buy a couple bottles for the wine party and also for the room...should I wait till I get to the port ?

Hi everyone. We left our house last night and are now staying with my aunt in W. Palm Beach, which is about 35 minutes south of our house. She's farther inland and we figured we'd be better off here. My parents are coming here this morning also. And my cousin's girlfriend's family are go to be here later today. There will 15 of us. Good thing it's a big house.

DH had to go to work last night, but they actually let him leave this morning. As soon as he got out he went back up to our house because he forgot to secure the garage door. He has to go into work again this afternoon and then might have to stay there until Sunday or later.

There has been good news and bad news... It's now down to a category 3 - 125 mph winds, but it's moving VERY slowly, so it could strengthen again.

We could lose power today so this might be the last time I can get on for a while. I guess if we don't have a house to go back to we won't be able to go on the cruise either. Have to wait and see what happens. This is soooo hard to deal with.

Sandy, we wish you and your family all the best. WE will keep hoping that the hurricane gets downgraded and our ship board rooms get upgraded! YOu are in our thoughts and prayers. STAY SAFE!

Hello Everyone

Sandy hope everything goes well for you and your family. You are in our prayers stay safe.

Peg

Hi to all!!!

Sandy, sending you Pixie Dust your way! I hope all goes well! Stay safe and let us know, when you can, how things are! We will be thinking of you! I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers!

Stay safe!

Thanks for all the thoughts, prayers and Pixie Dust. Power went out for a little while, but it's back on now. Pretty sure it'll be going out again soon. The rain has started and it's getting very windy. Last I heard it's going to make land fall near Sebastian tomorrow night, which is just north of Vero Beach.

Sandy, Mekayla and I are hoping all goes well. We're praying for you!::yes::

I thought I would pull all the Postal strings I could get my hands on (weren't many) when I started with the Post Office, to see where my check was as well. They just replied, "it's in the mail." I think Ed lied to us, both. But I still look everyday!

Has anyone heard how Castaway Cay fared the storm? Wonder what the cruisers going out tomorrow are doing?!?! You think they {Disney} ever CANCELLED the trip due to weather? Perish the thought!

After all these years of planning, paying and dreaming... I would just fall over if our trip doesn't happen. Mekayla and I were doing "what if's" last night. You know how it goes... she says, what if Mickey can't get his island up and running by the time we're there...what if there's a hurricane when we go... what if we don't get to go...what if...what if. My standard response was "I dunno." :confused3

Sandy, My DH and I are keeping you in our prayers as you go through this hurricane. Hopefully there will be no harm to your family or your home.

WldWcnWmn, They said on the news that there was alot of damage at Abaco Island in the Bahamas. I thought that island was within sight of Castaway Cay. Hopefully CC will weather the storm without any damage to buildings, trees, or the beach.

Denine, I can appreciate how much a cat can love it's "people". I have two cats who are more than just animals ~ they are family members. My DD complains that I spoil the cats more than I ever spoiled her or her brother.

Does everyone have their bubbles ready for the cast-off party? 42 days and counting . . . .

Gloria

Okay...I made the pins. Unfortunately I can't show you because I don't know how. They are lime green Mickey heads, cut out from the Home Depot paint chips, name is put on with a paint pen, they are laminated and have a bar pin on the back. I think 50 cents a pin would cover the cost of the laminating sheets, bar backs, padded envelopes and postage. If you want any tell me the names and your address and I'll get them off to you.

How's it going, Sandy? Still thinking of and praying for you guys.

Thea.....repeat after me....We will not be canceled. We will not be canceled. We will NOT be canceled. There.....that should do it.

We are all getting so excited about this trip. I was actually getting a little too excited. Lost a couple of nights sleep trying to think of everything I have to do and get before the trip. Had to calm myself down. Nuts, huh?

Have to go....got some shoppin' to do! (for the trip, ofcourse!) Talk to you all later.
Denise
