Denine...you started this thread so I do believe that these are your people. Therefore I think that it is your responsibility to show some control over them as they are clearly all out of control. If they have their way I'm going to wind up like the "Old lady who lived in a shoe". You know....the one who had so many children she didn't know what to do? Only it's going to be a cabin instead of a shoe and I'm also going to have Joe (my lovable, but oh so annoying husband) and Andrew the 5 month old who won't let you put him down and Makayla the 3 year old who...let's face it...is a THREE year old and Rose's kids (where the heck is bowling alley on the ship anyway?) and now even the new people (I am not mentioning names, Peg) are throwing in their kids!

That's it... I'm changing cabins. No, I'm changing SHIPS! I will not be on your cruise so if you happen to see some one who looks just like me ignore her, leave her in peace, don't even look at her. Even if she has this big annoying guy tagging along behind her and a couple of kids who are crying and clinging on her and saying "Mom Mom, why are you ignoring us, why?" don't be fooled....it will not be me. And you'll all be really, really sorry because....well, I don't know why, but you will.

Hello All!!!

You know what I find that know matter how hard you try you just can't please everyone. Take Denise for example I heard how much she loves kids and I want to lend her mine. And she just doesn't seemed pleased I just don't get it. Here I am willing to let her do something she REALLY, REALLY, REALLY enjoys and she just dosn't see happy. Well she can never say I don't have her best interest at heart.

How does tipping work? On some of the boards I've read its about 700 for the week by the time you are done with everyone.I just want to make sure I add this into my budget. Am I close or way off base. Any help would be great.

This is what Barb has suggested (for 7 day cruise) on CastawayClub.com

Restaurant Server $25.75 per person
Restaurant Assistant Server $18.75 per person
Head Server $6.50 per person
Stateroom Host(ess) $25.25 per person

So if you had 4 people in your cabin you would tip a total of $305

I would like to put the cash in the envelopes before we get on the ship so I don't have to worry about it later on.

All of those amounts I posted before are on page 63 of the Disney Cruise Line brochure/book. It also says:

For you convenience, a 15% gratuity is automatically added to bar, beverage, wine and deck service tabs. All gratuities can be charged to you room charge.

Tipping the Dining Manager and for Room Service is at your discretion.

Then there's also the guys who take your luggage at the port (we always tip $1 per bag) and the counselors in the Oceaneer Club and Lab. We've never really used the kids programs so I don't have a clue about that. Has anyone ever tipped the councelors?

Wow Denise, can we all say "drama queen?" Are you sure you don't need to up your medication? You will never be the "old lady that lived in the shoe" because that is not a Disney fairytale. Now, I think a good casting call for you would be the Evil Stepmother in Cinderella (I will be playing Cinderella, of course) or Grumpy the Dwarf ( I will be playing Snow White, of course).

Thanks for the "According to Jim" information. I knew they were on cruise but I didn't know it was going to air tonight. I am gonna check it out and see if I notice any new drinks to try.

Peg, I am so glad you have come over to the "evil" side. Please feel free to drop your kids off at Denise's cabin...right next to mine....and join all the fun people for baileys and coffee.
