Anxiously awaiting exam results

I just heard that my nephew who didn't get into Nottingham Uni as his A level grades weren't high enough has been accepted to Northampton Uni, still doing Criminology. :cool1:

His younger brother who lets just say gets detention for missing detention ...has just surprised us all by getting an A in GSCE maths, B in Biology, C in English & some other lower grades. :faint: :woohoo:

Congratulations, Claire's nephews!!! :woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo:

Finally!!! :faint:
Samuel made it home about 20 minutes ago and checked his results online!!!
Here's how they looked:

A* - Maths (taken last year)
A* - French (taken last year)
A* - English Lit
A* - Chemistry
A* - Biology
A* - Physics
A* - Spanish
A* - Italian
A - English
A - Latin
A - Music

I am completely gobsmacked/stunned by his results - not to mention so incredibly pleased for him!!! :worship: :worship: :worship:

He's accomplished so much with such little fuss - tho' I have to say that kind of brainpower means he definitely takes after his Dad rather than his Mum!!! ;)

Anyway, this means he'll be staying in the 6th Form and studying his chosen A Levels of Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry next year... :goodvibes

Well done, everyone. What amazing results!

congratulations!

Fantastic results - keep them coming!

Another proud mumsy - Katie got:

A* - ICT
A - English Lit
A - English Lang
A - Drama
A - French
B - Maths
B - RE
B - Art
C - Physics
C - Biology
C - Chemistry

She's off to college in September to study Eng Lit, Law, Psychology and RE. Got all she needs to get in for this.

Here's to the next two years of hard slog:scared1:

Well done Katie & Samuel! :cheer2:

I don't know whether to be proud or disappointed!:confused3
My DS got 2 B's, 8C's and 2D's. He could have worked a lot harder but chose not to, I nagged for a while but then gave up as it wasn't working! He started out school so clever at 4 years old but kind of gave up trying at some point! He was born with a very, very low oxygen level and we wondered if he was brain damaged at some point so I suppose I should be grateful he's been able to get these, but when you see A*s and A's he's miles behind. At least he's got enough to stay on in the 6th form, just hope he realises the work he's still got to do.

Congratulations to all the Disboards children, you are stars.:banana::banana:

As long as he got enough to carry on that is the main thing, as employers only really look at the highest grade you've got so if you go all the way it only matters what degree you've got.

Well done to everyone who got their GCSE and A level results. I got my GCSE results today. I got-

English Language-B
English Lit-B
Additional Science-B
P.E-B
German-B
French-B
Core Science-A
History-A
I.C.T-A
Maths-A
Religious Studies-A*
Music-A*

I'm really happy with them, I was mostly surprised with my Maths result though.

Some fantastic results here - well done to all the youngsters who worked so hard for their exams.

Lizzy Lemon - if your son did that well without really trying, then I think you don't have too much to worry about! He may work a lot more when he is concentrating on a few subjects he really enjoys. :thumbsup2

WELL DONE EVERYONE

Those are good grades, so well done to him. It is all part of lifes learning curve, learning you have to work for things.:goodvibes He will learn quickly how much work you have to put in for Alevel,(friends going to uni is a good motivator)

My step son got his today, no surpise really, he didn't try hard enough and was lax with his studying, he got 1B, 4 C's and 4 D's.

he has enough to go onto 6th form so thats good, but I wish he had tried harder.

Well done everyone, you should be proud of yourselves. :goodvibes

My DD took some GCSEs a year early and passed them but she won't tell anyone but myself the results! I've told them to DH (but she doesn't know that) but don't feel I can let the grandparents know if she's unwilling to share her news. What do I do?
