antenna topper woes

Speaking of antenna topper..i saw a car once in the Cm Mk parkinglot ..the antena of the car had about 20 different toppers 'skeweewerd" thru the anteena! lol That was the first time i had seen that!

Thanks for all the wonderful replies and suggestions. I'll order some replacements right away, but the new ones will go IN the cars, not ON them.

DH and I both got new cars this year and neither one has an antenna.......AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love my toppers, booo hooo, I'm sooo sad.

My daughter's car doesn't have a antenna either and she loves her toppers. She has turned them into her pen toppers. Now when she can't find her pen at the bank where she works, it is very easy to find it :)
I have been lucky so far, none of my toppers have been stolen, yet......

I had a Mickey antenna ball with the sorcerer's hat. Any time I parked anywhere, I would take it off and put it in my purse. Then when I got back in my car, I would put it back on. My DH told me that I was crazy b/c my car was only ever in the garage, at the kids school, or at the store. After 6 months I finally left it on one day at my DS's school, and it got stolen.

Yeah, those toppers are irresistable to cats. Last year my cat managed to chew my new topper up right away. I had gotten the same one I already had on my car to replace. But after the cat got at it, the one already on my car was in better shape!

My cats get up ON my car just to chew up my poor Mickey! He has huge bites taken out of both his ears. That thing is in such bad shape that no one would ever want to steal it now. :rotfl:

When I got my first topper and wanted to display it, I was afraid it would get stolen, so I put a little eye screw in between the ears and then put a ribbon through that. I used to hang them from my rear view mirror and change them out for the seasons or holidays. I got a Tinkerbell topper and decided to chance it and put it on my car. It hasn't been touched. I eventually had to ge a new one because it had faded so badly.

I got the idea about hanging it from the rear view because one of our cars didn't have an antenna.

When I was looking for one of the world mickey's so that I would have all the countries from WS, I got one from laughingplace.com store.

I have the 4 toppers on my van antenna, a mickey foot, pants, hand, and on top is of course mickey'd head. I get comments on it at drive-thrus all the time, and am actually surprised that they are still there since I got them in March. :thumbsup2

Yes, I just saw the website today while I was looking for something else. Type Disney merchandise into google and something will come up. I have a different problem I bought the topper but it won't fit on my antennae:rotfl2:

We had our Nemo one stolen at a mall parking lot, and someone stole the Grumpy one I got for my dad less than a month after I put it on his car. I doubt I'll be able to replace the Grumpy one - my dad has cancer, and by the time we go to WDW for our next vacation, he might not even be with us.

My cats love my collection of toppers too, but they don't chew on them, they just whack them around the kitchen floor, and down the stairs.

Aww thats sad :( Have you looked on ebay?

I saw the idea here on another thread about antenna toppers of putting an eye hook in the top and hanging it from your rear view mirror. I couldn't find a small enough eye hook so I took a small piece of wire and bent a loop into the top and stuck that in the topper to hang from my mirror. I can't wait to go back and get more now so I can change them from time to time.

I'm a visual learner, so I appreciated seeing your picture. I think this would be a safe way to display the Disney toppers inside the car. I also like my two Disney Danglers (see the picture halfway down page 2) on my dashboard.

Now I can display all of them to make it an even more Disneyfied car.

If somebody stole mine, I would never be able to find my car. Very seriously, it's what I look for when I leave the store. Last year I bought the snowman with Mickey ears and had it on until the spring. I then bought a plain black one at the Disney store. After changing from the snowman to the plain black one, I was lost. I did eventually find my car, but it threw me off.

Just out of curiousity, did anyone ever find their topper on someone else's car? I mean, If someone took it at a soccer game, the next time you go to the game, were you checking the toppers in the lot?

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad.

I have posted this before. I found the small eye hooks at Wal-Mart in the hardware dept. If I didn't know any better I would say that Laughingplace Store stole the idea for their Antenna Topper Elastic Dangler. (LOL) I have been doing this for years and these showed up a couple years ago. :scratchin

Mouseshoppe.com used to have these neat clear plastic antenna topper stands. I have a bunch of those to display all my antenna toppers.

DSis and I both were weary of putting ours on our antennas (antennai?), so we strung string through them and we have them dangling from our rearview mirrors :)

I know world of disney, and some disney stores sell toppers. Maybe check their websites?

We got ours from the Disney Store. It's funny. We bought our car one day, which is bright orange, and I unexpectantly came across a bright orange Mickey head antennae topper the very next day in the bargain bin!

It's been on there for a year and a half and nobody has touched it. It's still in good shape too. We have driven everywhere - big cities, suburbs, the country - yet it's never been disturbed.

I'm wondering if maybe it has to do with where your anntenae is, as someone upthread suggested. We have a Toyota Yaris Hatchback. So the anntenae sticks up like a tail on the back of the car, just above the hatch.

I have tons of toppers, but I got a new car and gasp......no antenna. I can not hang it from my rearview mirror because that would drive me bonkers. So I don't know what I'm going to do with them, I really like them.

I have an old dresser in my garage that serves as part of my workbench and the one drawer is full of them for every occasions, I keep getting more because I am sad and pathetic, LOL. I would never buy a car without an antenna because of the antenna topper.
