the 40%pin code or free diining.. I have read many thread concerning this .. but not going into too much research on my end ...

isn't it safe to say in general ,, if your party included ALL adults , no children .. and say at a deluxe resort
the free dining would always come out cheaper ??

No, not always. What kind of park tickets are involved? Do people have AP's? With the free dining you have to pay full rack rate for the room along with purchase at least a 1 day theme park ticket. How much would you normally eat? If you would not normally eat a dessert with every meal you may not come out ahead. Example....

40% pin......$400 room = $240

Would you eat more than $160 worth of food in one day? If not, the 40% off room is better. If so, the "free" dining plan is better. Check out menus on all ears and number crunch. For me, at a value, the difference was $140 for 4 days. I knew my family would eat/drink more than that for the 4 days so I switched. For moderates or deluxes, the free dining is not always better but for value resorts, it usually is.

Hope this helps.

It depends. If you are planning on purchasing a dining plan in any event, I have found with one or two people it is cheaper to get the room discounts and add on dining than getting the free dining. With more diners per room, it would probably tip the balance, but I don't know what the tipping point is. I go to the Disney on-line reservation site and try pricing it several ways to see what comes out cheapest.

If the choice is between full price room and free dining vs. discount room and OOP dining, it's really going to depend on what you want to eat and where. There are menus and prices on-line, you just need to price it out and see.

You need to do the research if you truly want to know.

Or post every little detail about your trip here, and let the people who are willing to break it all down for you.

Or just call Disney and have them price it for you both ways.
