I've just read the majority of this thread, getting more and more excited about doing it, so I head over to the expotv site, only to find out... you have to be American... Damn...
Oh well.
I'll keep looking for some way to make a little extra cash for my trip...

This is just for fun... I was trying to figure out how to review my puffer fish- but the video became diverted (not to mention the light from my camera blinking on my tank!) and I thought some of ya'll might get a chuckle out of the diversion...

To die for! I was laughing all along! Too bad you can't review your children. Wait, they'd just toss them in the $2 category!

I believe I read that it's $500. And if you go over that they hold your money for 30 days. I'm not 100% sure about that. Someone else should know.

There really is no reason not to upgrade to the premier. Expo TV money does not get charged any fees from pay pal. I received $1000 from expo tv for last month without any charges. I had the money in my checking account in 2 days.

Do they charge you for all your other transactions though, like Ebay? Right now I just buy, but if I wanted to sell, then I would be charged a transaction fee, right?

The thing that stinks too is they changed the promotion to end 8/22 @ 11:59pm for the baby/kids and sport/outdoor items. That is what 95% of my items are. Oh I am so mad I could spit!

Maybe they won't look like that on their end?

With tomorrow's deadline, I would upload them regardless .If they get rejected, they will be moved to $2 anyway so you should give it a go.

Someone had asked earlier how long it was taking for reviews to be approved. I made a spreadsheet and my videos made on 8/14 were approved on 8/21.

So far, my average is 7-8 days per video once it is submitted.

I uploaded on th 13th and so far nothings been approved.

I did go and spot check my uploaded vids last night; so far all of them seemed fine except one, there was wind noise as I was outside reviewing my tent. But it only lasted a few seconds

I have some from the 9th that are still sitting in pending. I have about 20 from the 9th-21st that are pending.

I have three(3) , my only three mind you until I hear from them, from 8/11/07 that are still PENDING.

Not wasting anymore time until I see some action on their part.

FINALLY, I got two approved . I still have 50+ pending though.

Also, NONE of the videos (mine, DHs or any I watch that belong to someone else) are playing with sound. The first I watched of a travel review yesterday, I thought "oops, they approved on w/o sound." Then I watched a few and none had sound. Also, the ones of my DHs that had sound, now don't. . I know my speakers are connected because I can here sound on other sites and when I edit. Anyone else experiencing not being able to hear sound on ANYONES?

They do charge for most other transactions with a premier acct, ebay included.

I have all of them uploaded already. I have like 6 more to meet the 100 max, that need to be uploaded.

The problem is when I preview them on my end (and I double checked on 2 different computers) they are fine. I upload them to expo tv and they are out of sync, screeching noise and then pause (in that order). However one that I looked out is perfect! Go figure!

I did email them and am waiting to hear back what they say. I thought it was my camera at first, but then used my sister's camera and checked after upload and the same thing.

Maybe it's an expo tv problem...on my part?

Okay, so they are apparently looking at my videos from 8-16. I got 8 out of 14 approved for that day so far. The rest are still pending. They were all Sports & Outdoors. And they left them in that category except for one. A Rawlings Baseball ??? They moved it to Health & Wellness - Home Medical Equipment What in the world ?????? Where do they get these people?
So I have another email in to them, but the other 2 emails I have sent them on other issues have done no good. . .

Same here, I recounted the video's I submitted and am off by a couple, so am trying to upload 5 and nothing. I got up at 5AM (eST) and I didn't even get the "please be patient...." message. I wonder if they are doing system maintenance at that time.

I'll try again tonight, since these are all electronics it doesn't matter if I make it in before midnight tonight.

I am all over the place with dates uploaded/approved. They seem to be approving my travel, electronic and computer ones first and the pet and outdoor ones are sitting. I hope they don't come up with something wrong with the pet/outdoor ones so I don't get the $10.

I am getting some approved and I mostly uploaded in the Babies/Kids category...one question:

my Lansinoh Lanolin Cream for Breastfeeding Mothers got recategorized as Beauty/Skin Care product instead of Babies/Kids. Should I argue it? I mean, technically it is used to condition the skin...but I wouldn't have needed it if I weren't nursing.

I can't even get on at all right now. It keeps saying that the page can't be loaded. I probably have 20-30 baby/pet items I can record once I get Cameron down for his nap, but I don't want to waste the time if I won't be able to get on and upload. So much frustration. I don't know why I do this to myself!!!!

I can't get in either, it won't even open the site. However about a half hour ago I got in and the site looked all messed up, not normal. There was a new column next to my approved videos that was an edit column. I wonder if they are revising and upgrading the site? I know several people have commented in the forums, myself included, that an edit button would be great so that you could delete your own videos off the list if you want to (the ones that are rejected or if you upload a dupe or what have you). I really hope they are in fact adding an edit button though it would be more useful on the unapproved video list.

I can't get in to the site right now either. I've always had the edit button next to all of my approved videos. I just started last July 22 so maybe the new accounts were set up this way.

I've used this button to edit my information ( spelling )... it doesn't seem to have any effect on the video- I think it's to allow you to correct any spelling I guess>

it would be a much better idea to have a button for the pending- then if we double submit or whatever, we could fix the problem ourselves instead of having to email expo to fix it-
