Another way to make a little extra cash for our Disney funds

I am purposely not going into Expo today since I was able to upload first thing. I usually view my friends' videos in the afternoon as I wait for callbacks, but today, I won't in hopes that it will give everyone else a chance to upload.

can someone please send me the link. I think it would be good money for my son to make.

I just uploaded about 30 for DH and about 10 for me tonight with no problems whatsoever. In fact, it almost worried me how fast it was uploading.

I was a little disturbed though how they had hamster items listed in home and garden. come to think of it a ton of dh sporting goods were in home and garden. their categories are weird.

those of you having issues with easy share or uploading, i just thought i would share with you. my easy share broke on me and wont do vids anymore so we paid 99 and bought a samsung s630. It works great for this. I go into movie maker and this is what i do. I import the videos then drag to the story board. once there i click save to my computer. title it and click next. then next to other i choose from teh drop down box Video for LAN (768 kbps). then click next again and finish. Once you pull that down and choose it, it will stay there always until you change it again. Knock on wood...I have had no issues with uploading or with them accepting. I hope this might help some of you.

Thank you! I am going to try this! :goodvibes I am not giving up hope yet! There is always September!

I think so my anxiety level does not shoot the the roof, I will re-record some of the $10 categories (electronics, fitness/exercise, cars, computers) this weekend using the instructions from Mellie. Thanks Again!:thumbsup2

They responded that my Gerber Graduates food should be food and grocery. They said mistakes might occur, but they don't classify anything other than formula as babyfood. I searched Gerber Graduates and looked at the first FOUR PAGES of videos. My video was the ONLY ONE that was not categorized Baby and Kids.

They just did this to DH. He has about 10 Gerber items as Baby and Kids but the last two they put as grocery. I'm trying to decide if I should email them and risk them changing the other ones already approved and the ones pending or just suck it up and take.

Also, about 10:30, my stupid internet just lost connection for no reason again. I've just now been able to get it back up. I had about 6-8 more things to upload. Comcast just cost me quite a few dollars! They are going to get a piece of my mind tomorrow!

But for good news!!!   I'm a featured reviewer   I'm the same name as here and I'm pictured with Mr. Smee. I've also had 15 approved today and no declined. I've got about 50 pending, including quite a bit of gerber stuff :scared: .

I have one video sitting up with the pended ones with the status saying "Approved" for the last few days. It's not counted in my total videos or towards my total tho. Anyone else having this issue?

I haven't emailed them yet about it - figured I'd wait a few more days. But it's been like 3 days so far. And I've had others approved and "moved down" since then.

I have 2 also. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. I haven't e-mailed them yet. Mine have only shown approved for about a day.

While I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one with internet problems last night, it really sucks that we couldn't get online and lost money.......... I had 10 pet and sports vids that we couldn't upload. That's $80!! lost due to poor service from Brighthouse.

On a much brighter note, I got my first approval today! I was so happy to see it. I actually thought it would be rejected because I was filming in a dark room with a light directly on me from behind the camera. You can't see anything behind me because it's so dark. That's one of 30 that are currently pending so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Still nothing approved since 8/09; I hate the waiting. I leave for vacation Saturday morning for 3 weeks; it'd be nice to know that when I return I'll have some extra money coming in rather than worrying about it.

So did anyone start a list with the usernames for everyone on Expotv?

There is another thread called Expo TV Users or something like that where there is an updated list of user names. It is also here on the Budget Board.

Is anyone having trouble getting their videos to upload? I get it that yesterday they were super busy w/ the cut off, so I gave up then. However since 7 am this morning (now after 11) I have been trying to get mine to upload w/ no luck! This is my first video, it's under 50MB, and I'm starting to get really discouraged here.

Any guesses what will be included in the $2, $5 and $10 catagories for September?

My guesses are they keep the higher end stuff in the $10 category

  • Electronics and Computers
  • new cars
  • travel destinations
  • High end Sports and Fitness stuff

$5 category
  • Baby Products-- specify type strollers, car seats, cribs, etc
  • Camping equipment
  • Computer and electronic accessories

$2 Category
  • food
  • beverages
  • movies
  • books
  • toys and games
  • clothing, shoes, etc
  • anything that people tend to buy as a necessity of life

How do you know that's what the new promotion is going to be? I figured they'd make everything $2. :sad2: That's great if they aren't though.

From the letter sent by ExPoTV
* And our September Promotion will be based on product sub-categories. We will
institute a 3-tiered ($2, $5, $10) category promotion structure to help us keep the
categories open longer during the month. We'll be providing more information as
the month grows near.

Gee another e-mail I didn't get. Thanks Disers! :grouphug:

I hope pet products fall into the $5 category next month! As far as the $2 category- I keep telling myself- it doesn't matter- an extra $2 is $2- but gee... I really don't know how I feel about that- LOL!
