Another way to make a little extra cash for our Disney funds

I just don't know how ya'll do it. I'm up to 14 videos- slooowly uploading as we speak. Between shooting them and then editing them and then uploading them- it seems to take me forever to get any done!

I uploaded 17 video's today. All the video's uploaded in less than 3 or 4 minutes for me. I have DSL, so that helps. I think I can make my video, save it and upload it within 10 minutes. Now I just have to hope all my video's get approved. I just started this week, so it will be a while before I know.

What catagory do you think heelys would go under? My 10 year old just got some for her birthday in June and she loves them and wants to do a review on them with me. Just curious if it's a $10 or a $2
Thanks:)

When the kids are in bed is my best time-that's why I always look so tired, it's usually after 11pm- it's quite, and I can think with no distractons. I do not work outside of my home. Also, I make a list of what I am going to review, gather the items and put them near the camera and then I just film and film until the pile is gone. I don't have much editing except to reshoot if I go over or under time. I use the Kodak Easy Share - here I go again -it's just so easy! I swear I don't own stock in Kodak.

ALL I am editing out is the part where I reach over to turn off the camera- do I need to cut that part out? Figured it was the nice thing to do- but that adds probably 10 minutes to my whole process!

ugh...ive gotten quite a few rejections about the video/audio not being synched ....im at a loss...im sure it has something to do with the upload itself, because they are all videos that were uploaded on the 30th...when i view the originals on the comp, they are fine. just a heads up to check your previews to make sure that problem doesnt occur- of course, all the videos i have uploaded so far this month are still in the pending stage and it doesnt allow me to preview them yet...argh!:headache:

i have seen lots of videos where that part remains, so no, i wouldnt really worry about cutting it out...esp not if it is adding that much time :)

The little tikes toys I believe are under toys, but the other catagory, since that is an option, they give baby toys, kids toys, games and puzzles and other. I have done a sandbox and swingset and it came up under sports and outdoors. I left it there since that is also a $10 catagory and I don't want to go against their stuff.

The little tikes thomas flashlight came up under electronics, but others under toys. I did a guitar (I think), wiggles and it had it at first under something wierd, I clicked a different picture and it was under toys. I have noticed some things not being where I put them so I just go by what they have and do something else if I have to.

I did a step2 kids toy mailbox but it was under home and garden with their other mailboxes.

Yeah, me too. I started going into Movie Maker to shoot my videos instead of using my Webcam's software. Hopefully that will help but I can't see any previews of the August videos I've uploaded yet.

I do all mine late at night also, so I always have a baseball tshirt on, usually after my shower and I throw shorts back on to do them.

I also use a kodak easyshare camera, load right into kodak and then right to expotv, it is so simple! I love it! This camera has been so worth it!

I dont cut my turning the camera on and off out. In fact, I'm a little confused what people are doing when they say they are editing. The only time I bring a video into movie maker is if the size is too big, but never once have I tweeked anything that was really editing or cutting anything out. I always have just done my videos, dumped them into a folder, and uploaded them. Maybe when people say edit they mean resize? :confused3

Hey, if I can cut out that part of my process- that saves me a LOT of time! It takes less time for me to upload vids to the site then it takes for me simply to edit out the part where I turn off the shooting! (I put the camera on delay, so I get to sit down real fast and paste a fake grin on my mug!).

Am I the only pathetic one who puts on full make-up before shooting a vid? Man- I like harsh any which way- I cannot stand it! But to pay some bills, hey! It's worth it!

I move mine into movie maker to shrink them (both in pixel size and mb size). It takes a little bit to do it, but it saves on upload time. While doing this, I add a fade in and out to cover up setting up and turning off the camera. Only adds another second

Ok I just signed up for Expo TV and I am already confused!:confused3 Is there somewhere that explains what I need to include in my videos? And how long they should be? Any guidelines? I figure they must be a certain length right? I found explanations of how to set up lighting etc but nothing about length and content.

They should be 1-3 minutes, you and the product should be clearly visible, provide useful info and/or a demo of product, your personal opinion, noone under 13 (maybe? Some ppl have had younger kids in them), nothing anyone else in the household has reviewed... pretty basic. Audio and video need to be synched correctly and no weird codecs... the videos should be 320x240 tho I uploaded some that were twice that and they were accepted.

On another note, last month all my yarn was put into arts & craft category and this month it keeps trying to put it into home & garden. What is up with that? I have been recategorizing it, just hope it works. Oh except for the one that got put into Cars -> Accessories... :confused3 :confused3

Do I have to be in all the videos or can I record my husband? And how can you tell if you are recording in that 320 X 240? I use a Kodak Easy share...I have no idea what those numbers mean?

They approved almost all the rest of my July ones today! Up to 82 with just 3 to go! Just over $400! I am so excited, I'll be even more so to have that in my Paypal account! We just booked our March package last night so this is so wonderful. Thank you, thank you OP for bringing this site to our attention! :flower3:

They also approved 3 for August for me. Two were foods at $2 and one was a Pampered Chef item so it is a $10 category. Just FYI in your earnings section they list all the videos as $2 and then they have a bonus category section for $8. So my 3 currently show as 3 in the $2 category and then 1 in the $8 bonus category.

I edit mine and my husband's videos. I am just cutting out any unnecessary footage. It does add some time, but I don't want any rejections. :thumbsup2

My husband just got the rest of his July videos approved.  They approved all 100.  That means for July we got 200 approvals.  I love expo TV
