Another way to make a little extra cash for our Disney funds

Thanks for the advice. I actually thought about a webcam from the start but DH refused and said they wouldnt do a decent video. Are they very expensive? I could return this blooming camera since I just bought it and get one. I would love something like that where I wouldnt need someone elses help. DO you have recommendations for one?

Also, DH has submitted about 57 videos since July 1 and only 8 of them are up right now. We have done it on different days though. Im really hoping this thing works out for us because we could really use the extra money right now to pay off some debt and save up for some things. Thank you so much for posting this!

Yes thank you so much for posting this information, we are really excited here about it and we both plan on doing loads of videos in the next week. We are hoping to cruise in September and this would help with that.

As for webcams you can pick them up for between $10-$20 at Walmart/Target/etc. Also check the clearance sections or even the weekly ad sometimes you can find them for a few bucks or free after rebate.

We have a camera that takes videos but are thinking we may just go out and pick up a new web cam to save on the hassle of docking the camera and uploading the videos from it.

Thanks again for the site info, this seems so wonderful.

BTW, I watched a few of your videos last night Jennifer, they are really good, and your little girl's room is so pretty.

I'm really excited about this. I've done 31 videos already. Now I wait...:hourglass

Good luck everyone :goodvibes

I just made my first 6 today! It was fun, I had my 9y old be my camera person. I uploaded 3 so far and will do the rest later.

Here is my question, I used my Kodak Easy Share camera and uploaded to my Easy Share software. They looked good, not too dark, good sound. I downloaded Movie Maker per the suggestion on the Expo TV site but when I tried to upload the videos it would not take them. It said they were not a format it accepted.

So instead I just uploaded to ExpoTV right from my Kodak software. It took them and they are pending.

My question, is it okay that I didn't do any editing to these? Like I said the lighting was good, the sound was good, next time I will have her zoom on the product a little more but otherwise I was pretty happy.

I can't wait to do more and get some approved!

Allyson :)

I also have a Kodak Easy Share but can not use Movie Maker with the format that Kodak saves the videos in. We plan on picking up a webcam to make it a bit easier, they have them at Walmart for $12.88 right now.

This sounds great! However, I have a question: will a simple computer webcam work for recording these videos or not?

Let me know how your webcam works out because im considering doing this too.

I just signed up, but I am feeling lost! Is there a list of acceptable products that I can review, or is it anything at all?

Also, I just tried to watch some videos, and I can't; they start playing, but after about 2 seconds, they just stop, and nothing I do starts them again.:headache:

Will do, right now I'm actually with HP tech support because my USB ports went haywire, perfect timing, eh?

After we fix this we will be heading to Walmart and I will let you know how the quality is.

Let us know how the webcam turns out.

Have you in the meantime just been uploading from Easy Share? Has it been working out for you?

My videos have been posted, my videos have been posted!!!! (Finally) Cha-ching, I have $35 in my earnings file!

And I used a Logitech webcam to record mine for all of you who are considering this. The videos will be an AVI file and Expo will accept this, however, make sure that there isn't a codec attached to the videos once you save them that Expo TV won't recognize. Mine has Indeo video attached and I had to edit them through Windows Movie Maker which changes them to a WMV file (which Expo also accepts) and they went through. i don't know which codecs they don't accept but if you try to upload one and it comes back as video error in your videos part of your profile, then the chances are that you may have a codec they don't accept. (BTW Windows Movie Maker may also have one you need to turn off but I know where to tell you to go to turn this one off-I just haven't figured out where to turn it off for my webcam) I hope this all makes sense! :)

Yay!! I finally got some videos posted....:cool1:

You guys can add me to the list my username is the same as it is here.

The only thing is....I look like im on crack or something...:rotfl2: I thought about it for a minute and thought...shoot for 5 bucks a video who cares what everyone thinks of me....:dance3:

Anyone good with computer repair? For some reason everytime I plug in a USB device my laptop freezes. I contacted HP via chat since my warranty has expired and have tried these things...

1. Reset Chipset, uninstall usb root and hubs and reboot and reinstall.
2. Same as above except I did it in safe mood
3. Reset Chipset, Flashed Bios, uninstalled and reinstalled
4. Rebooted the entire system with the reboot disk

And still if I plug something in it freezes my entire computer.

This happened about three months ago as well but after a week or so it worked again, I'm hoping I can fix this since it's the only way I can upload the videos...=o(

Any ideas?

I just found this thread and never heard of this site before. My first thought was that it sounded kind of creepy and there was probably something shady about the whole thing. But now that I looked at the site and see how many people are on there, I feel better about it. And I would love some extra money for our WDW trips.

I haven't read everything yet, but was wondering if there is a minimum length for the video???? Also, have people actually already received the money in their paypal accounts????

Thanks.

Minimum length is 1 minute, max is 3 minutes.

And yes many have reported on this thread that they have got their paypal payouts already.

I uploaded 6 yesterday and today one is approved and out there already. It was for Ratatouille. I had read that movie ones got approved faster so I decided to try and yes they do! I uploaded it around 10pm last night and by 7am this morning it was approved and my earnings page shows $5. I can't wait for the others to clear and to make more!

So easy and fun!
