I'm a total newb @ this, so am probably misunderstanding things, but:
I have been checking the MS site so as to be familiar w/ the thing for when my 11 month window opens for when I want to vacation.
One of my options is Club level @ AKL, which I've read you must walk. However, each day I check, the first day (and oft times the first 2-3 days) is/are already gone and this statement appears "other available dates are not valid for booking as they fall outside the allowable arrival date" which I take to mean that I can't even begin to walk the reservation because I can't book day one. In a case such as this, how does one even start the walk?

You must get the first day to walk so just keep checking.

My suggestion (because walking concierge is common) is that if you don't get the walk started and have problems booking concierge at 11 months to waitlist. I've noticed in the past that within a few days the rooms open back up as people walk past and in addition to waitlisting keep checking back.

I've noticed that in the past as well but lately that is not happening. I also check at 9 am or a few minutes later thinking maybe people would be canceling as they walk but that is just not happening anymore. I don't know what to make of it.
