Another waitlist question

We have a reservation at SS for 4/27-5/2, unfortunately my DH broke his leg skiing and will be on crutches for this vacation. I called MS last night to change our reservation to either VWL or BC because the resort is more compact and less walking for him. When I thought I had another 1 bedroom at VWL booked, the MS rep said that it had already been taken by someone else. Now we are on the waitlist but my hopes are not high in getting this since it's short notice. Any thoughts about a waitlist under 30 days?

Given the info in that thread, I think it would be worthwhile to call back today to see if that 1BR at VWL might actually be available after all.
