I believe it is 10 am Central Time, which would be 11 am Eastern. I have the Southwest website up on my work computer. I keep refreshing it.
No wonder I'm not getting any work done.

You may be waiting for the next dates to open up. According to Flyertalk, this round will only be thru mid-September. That means I will have to do this waiting game all over again for our October Trip.

Ok....I've been patient. I was right on it when the fares opened up last time but it was only until August 3rd. I need August 5-19th.
Anyone want to join me in the wait?????

I've been checking in on Southwest's site everyday for months. The tickets for our May trip were purchased incredibly cheap in Jan. and I've been on the edge of my seat hoping to purchase tickets for our Sept. trip just as cheaply, if not more so(I haven't signed up for Ding yet).

I called Southwest's customer service line several weeks ago, asking when the new dates were going to be posted. The customer rep. was extremely nice, asked what time of the year I needed, then checked their scheduling records for the past several years. She stated availability dates for several years, concentrating on last year. According to her, tickets through the end of Sept. became available on March 24th...YIPPEE!

It is now almost a week since that date and updating the flight schedule has yet to change. I've been tempted to call over the past several days but always tell myself "maybe tomorrow".

I'm waiting with you magicmommy, and all the other posters here, as we wonder what in the world is taking Southwest SO long in updating their schedule/ticket availability.

does anybody know how fast the low rates go? I am leaving in a few minutes and won't be home until tonight. If they come out at 11 am will all the low fares be gone within minutes? I guess I will find out tonight when I get home. lol
I guess I am the only one hoping they come out tomorrow instead LOL

Sept. flight from BWI here. I might not be home all afternoon. I hope that if the low rates are released today that there will still be some left by dinnertime or late this evening.

I have not booked a flight in over a decade, and that was before we did through the computer. I am nervous.

Does anyone know if the release of new dates comes through on Ding or will I just open up the SW page and the date will be changed from August 3?

When the next Ding! occurs, it will show on there. But it will also say on the Southwest website. On the reservations page it will show that they are now booking thru (insert date here).
