Yes you can. Someone on another list that I had did that. She got a Ding! fare of $39 from Philadelphia to MCO. But it was only thru a certain date. She took the last date available for the start of her vacation. Then when a Ding! fare come up for a little later, she got that for $39 as well.

ok we have 53 minutes!! what is the lowest rate they usually start at? Call me an idiot but what does the 7-day 21-day advance ticket mean? I figured you would have to purchase the ticket at least 7 days or 21 days of your departure date...???

I have to wait for August for airfare for December- the wait is killing me!!!!!! I am just as interested to see the next step for scheduling airfare as anyone else and I say good luck to everyone!!!!!!! Get that cheap airfare quick people because I see that they go fast.

Thanks Pam, do you know if the Ding actually makes noise? I've never heard them actually Ding, but then I never have the computer speakers turned up. I have them turned up today though.

Yes, Ding! does ding. I work from my home, but on a different computer, but same room, as our home computer. Did you ever see that Southwest commercial where the woman is serving a cake, she hears that Ding! and runs out of the room. That's pretty much me. I hear the Ding! and I hop out of my chair and run around the desk. Pretty Funny

you can go to the southwest website and download it onto your computer- it will show up on your desktop or taskbar. I personally like the taskbar because you can see. There will be a little mailbox on the ding to notify you that you have messages- good luck!!!!!!!

In order to see the ding fares you have to install Ding onto your computer. Once it's loaded in they'll be an icon on your computer (airplane tail wing) there'll be an envelope over the wing when you have a Ding, you click on it you'll be taken to a listing of all the current dings, when you plug in the info for the flight you're interested in then it'll bring up the spreadsheet with a column of Ding fares. Hope that makes sense.

Thompson road end. I live about 2 minutes from your sister. We are going Aug 12-18, staying at Saratoga Springs Resort.

this is my first time in this waiting game. I have flight arrangments to make:

1 ticket for 8/21 thru 8/25
2 tickets for 8/21 thru 9/2
2 tickets for 8/28 thru 9/2

Just hoping to get tickets and then I will worry about a better fare later. Usually SW is the cheapest direct flight that I can get.
